Impact Jarry picked up his first shutout of the season Sunday, stopping 31 shots in a 3-0 win over San Jose. The 30-year-old netminder is 2-1-0 with a 236 GAA and a .922 save percentage in three starts this season. Jarry will face the Panthers, who are 30th in NHL scoring, averaging a meager 2.38 goals per game.

Impact This was Kettles' season debut for the Broncos. The defenseman sustained an injury prior to the Penguins' prospect tournament that sidelined him for all of NHL training camp and nearly a month of the WHL campaign. The 18-year-old defenseman was selected 39th overall by Pittsburgh in 2025 and will likely have another year after this one in junior hockey before making a move to either the NCAA, as long as he doesn't sign an entry-level contract, or the AHL if he does ink a deal.

Sergei Murashov - Remains undefeated this season Murashov stopped 26 of 27 shots in AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton's 4-1 win over Lehigh Valley on Wednesday.
Impact Through four starts, Murashov is 4-0-0 with a 1.75 GAA and a .938 save percentage. The 21-year-old goalie will look to continue playing well in the minors to position himself for a call-up should the Penguins need reinforcements in goal at the NHL level. Overall, he's gone 16-3-1 in his first 20 AHL contests, but he'll have to continue biding his time as long as Tristan Jarry and Arturs Silovs play well enough with the big club.

Impact This was Novak's first goal in nine total games as a Penguin. Seven of them have come this season, and he's added an assist, 10 shots on net, five blocked shots, three hits and a minus-1 rating. The 28-year-old forward is filling a wing spot on the third line and also plays on the second power-play unit, but he's got a lot to prove before he can be trusted to help provide scoring depth in fantasy.

Impact With his second helper of the night -- on Justin Brazeau's insurance tally in the third period -- Letang reached 600 career assists, becoming the 20th defenseman in NHL history to reach that plateau. He's also just the 10th to do it with a single team, a list that includes Hall of Fame legends like Bobby Orr, Larry Robinson, Denis Potvin and Nicklas Lidstrom. Letang is nearing the end of his career at 38 years old, but he's not quite done yet, and after being held off the scoresheet through Pittsburgh's first five games of the season he's cashed in three assists in the last two.

Impact The journeyman winger has had an impressive start to his first season in Pittsburgh. Mantha has three goals and six points in seven games, skating on the second line at even strength alongside Evgeni Malkin and working his way onto the second power-play unit. Mantha has never topped 25 goals or 48 points however, hitting both those marks back in 2018-19 for the Red Wings, and there's a reason the 31-year-old is on his fifth team in the last six seasons.

Impact The 27-year-old is having an incredible start to his first season with Pittsburgh after signing a modest two-year, $3 million contract with the team this offseason. Brazeau has five goals and eight points through seven games, and his efforts have been rewarded with time in the top six at even strength and now a spot on the second power-play unit -- Tuesday's PP points were his first of the campaign. Regression is inevitable considering his bloated 35.7 percent shooting, however.
