Tristan Jarry - Guarding goal Thursday Jarry will be between the home pipes versus the Islanders on Thursday, Pens Inside Scoop reports.
Impact jarry was pulled early in the second period from his last start Tuesday, giving up four goals on 12 shots to the Blue Jackets. He will try and redeem himself Thursday in a tough divisional matchup against the Islanders, who they trail by one point in the race for the first wild card in the Eastern Conference. Jarry is 19-7-5 with a 2.86 GAA and .914 save percentage this season. The Islanders are 23rd in NHL scoring, averaging 2.89 goals for this season.

Jeff Petry - Impact increases over last 10 games Petry had two assists and 11 hits in a 4-3 overtime loss to the Islanders on Thursday.
Impact Petry has four points in his last four games and nine, including eight assists, in his last 10. And he has laid 39 hits in that span. It's an impressive run for a guy with just 17 points in the 38 games prior.

Tristan Jarry - Still hasn't regained form Jarry made 24 saves in a 4-3 overtime loss to the Islanders on Thursday.
Impact Jarry and the Pens were up 3-1 until the 14:31 mark of the third period. Hudson Fasching made a sharp play to kick a pass in his feet onto his stick for a wrist shot from just outside the crease. Then Anders Lee deftly redirected the puck past Jarry from in-tight at 18:45 to knot the game. Brock Nelson then won it with a blocker-side snipe on a breakaway in overtime. Jarry hasn't really regained his pre-injury form since his return Feb. 20, and that puts both the Pens and fantasy managers at risk.

Impact With the Penguins shockingly down 4-0 early in the second period, Zucker sparked the comeback to life by slipping the puck past Michael Hutchinson midway through the frame before bringing Pittsburgh to within a goal early in the third, with both tallies coming from in close. It's Zucker's second multi-goal performance in the last three games and he has six markers in the last five, boosting the veteran winger up to 21 goals and 39 points through 59 contests on the season.

Impact The switch between the pipes was more about waking up a Penguins team that came out very flat rather than Jarry playing badly, but either way the move worked. The 27-year-old netminder is 3-2-0 in six appearances since returning from an upper-body injury but has yet to regain his usual form, stumbling to a 3.95 GAA and .871 save percentage over that stretch. Pittsburgh is currently clinging to the final wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference, and the team may need Jarry to catch fire if they're going to make the playoffs. Until he does though, a timeshare with DeSmith seems likely.

Impact Pittsburgh was in a 4-0 hole when DeSmith entered the game, but the switch in net galvanized the team and led to a huge comeback victory. The 31-year-old netminder certainly did his part, and since the All-Star break he's 5-3-0 in nine appearances with a 2.84 GAA and .918 save percentage. The Pens would like Jarry to reclaim the No. 1 role, but as long as he keeps struggling, DeSmith should see consistent action as part of a timeshare.
