Impact Vanecek last played Nov. 16 when he allowed two goals on 10 shots in the first period before he was pulled before the start of the second frame, due to an upper-body injury. The netminder is struggling this season as he is 2-5-1 with a 3.36 GAA and an .899 save percentage. He will face the Kraken, who are tied for 22nd in NHL scoring with 63 goals.

Ethan Cardwell - Recalled from AHL Cardwell was recalled from AHL San Jose on Thursday.
Impact The Sharks were down a forward as they placed Barclay Goodrow (upper body) on injured reserve. Cardwell played three games at the NHL level earlier in the season, but was unable to garner a point. Cardwell had a goal and seven points in 13 AHL appearances before his recall.

Impact Goodrow suffered the injury Wednesday against Ottawa in the first period and did not return. He certainly has not been an offensive force as he has two goals in 25 games, including only one in his last 24 contests. The Sharks recalled Ethan Cardwell from AHL San Jose to replace Goodrow on the roster.
