Nikolas Matinpalo - Returned to AHL Matinpalo was reassigned to AHL Belleville on Friday.

Impact Matinpalo was a healthy scratch Thursday in a 5-2 loss to the Canucks. He had played in the previous four games, managing two shots on goal, two blocked shots and two hits. It was his first taste of NHL action and will be among the first callups if there are injuries to the Senators' defensive corps.

Impact It was a poor effort and that's putting it gently. The D was queasy in front of him, but Forsberg was awful. He's 2-3-0 with a 3.79 GAA and .833 save percentage on the season. There's no need to hang this anchor on your fantasy lineup.

Impact The move is presumably retroactive to last Thursday, which is when Greig sustained the injury. That would make him eligible to be activated ahead of Saturday's contest versus Calgary, but that probably won't happen. Coach D.J. Smith said Tuesday that Greig is still weeks away from returning. The 21-year-old has two goals and seven points in nine contests this season.

Chychrun tied the score at 3-3 midway through the second period on a one-timer from the top of the faceoff circle to the right of Joseph Woll, then the blueliner helped set up Dominik Kubalik for the game-winner in the third.
