OCTOBER 21 • Associated Press

Surprise contributor in win Deslauriers scored two goals and added two hits in Tuesday's 6-3 win over the Canucks.

Impact Remarkably, it's the third time in Deslauriers' career he's had a two-goal game in Vancouver -- and he's never donned a Canucks sweater. The 35-year-old grinder has three points, four shots on net, 19 hits, seven PIM and a plus-2 rating over six appearances this season. He's already surpassed his point total from last year when he had two assists over 31 games between the Flyers and the Hurricanes. As long as the Hurricanes are battling multiple injuries up front, Deslauriers will have a spot on the fourth line.

Deals helper in Sunday's loss Deslauriers registered an assist in Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Flames.

Impact Injuries are piling up for the Hurricanes' forwards, opening the door for Deslauriers to play more regularly in a fourth-line role. The helper was his first point of the season in five outings. He's added 17 hits, two shots on net, seven PIM and an even plus-minus rating. The 35-year-old winger brings plenty of toughness when he's in the lineup, but he likely won't score enough to interest most fantasy managers.

Lands extension with champs Deslauriers signed a two-year, $875,000 contract extension with the Hurricanes on Saturday, per Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site.

Impact Deslauriers' extension was announced in fashion, as Carolina's General Manager Eric Tulsky broke the news at the Hurricanes' championship celebration. Despite not appearing in the postseason during the team's Stanley Cup run, the 35-year-old winger brought plenty of physicality during the regular season, as he dished out 39 hits and added an assist across eight outings. He'll likely be in the mix to play regular minutes on Carolina's fourth line in the 2026-27 campaign, which gives him upside in fantasy formats that place a premium value on banger stats.

Impact Carolina acquired Deslauriers from Philadelphia on Friday. Skipping the remainder of Carolina's road trip will give the 35-year-old some time to adjust before making his Hurricanes debut, which might come Tuesday versus Pittsburgh. Earns first point of season Deslauriers recorded an assist, three hits and two PIM in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Capitals.

Impact Deslauriers' helper came on a Carl Grundstrom goal in the second period. This was Deslauriers' first point, to go with 12 shots on net, 76 hits and 26 PIM, over 21 appearances this season. His struggles on offense have often left him out of the lineup, and one assist is unlikely to change his status as a rotational depth player.

FEBRUARY 4 • ROTOWIRE

Playing time still sparse Deslauriers was scratched for the seventh consecutive game in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Ducks.

Impact Deslauriers has been in a part-time role all season, but the 34-year-old hasn't done anything with his playing time. At the halfway mark of the Flyers' season, he has zero points, seven shots on net, 24 PIM, 56 hits and a minus-3 rating over 16 appearances. Carl Grundstrom has been more effective on the fourth line, and there's even less room for a one-dimensional player like Deslauriers now that the Flyers are giving Denver Barkey a look with the big club.

DECEMBER 20, 2025 • HOCKEYFEED.COM

Lacking offense in part-time role Deslauriers has not recorded a point in his first 10 appearances this season after being held scoreless in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Devils.

Impact Deslauriers has been in a fourth-line role for half of the Flyers' 20 games so far, but he's battling with Nikita Grebenkin for playing time. So far, Deslauriers has four shots on net, a minus-2 rating, 35 hits and 10 PIM. He's a bit of an old-school enforcer who has fallen short of the 10-point mark in each of the last two years. Even his elite physicality isn't much of a help in fantasy when he's not guaranteed a place in the lineup.
