Kurtis MacDermid - Playing time still limited MacDermid didn't appear in any of the Senators' games in January.
Impact That's 16 straight contests in the press box for the enforcer. MacDermid had an assist, five hits and 17 PIM over eight outings in December when he logged more consistent playing time. He's at 33 PIM, 13 hits and a minus-3 rating over 16 contests this season. MacDermid is a non-fantasy player even when he's in a full-time role, as he offers far too little offense.

Cody Glass - Slides helper in return Glass supplied an assist, placed three shots on net and blocked two shots in Saturday's 4-1 loss to the Senators.
Impact Following his one-game absence due to an undisclosed injury, Glass picked up the primary helper on Timo Meier's lone goal of the game for New Jersey. Overall, Glass is up to six assists, 19 points, 76 shots on net, 30 hits and 26 blocked shots across 43 games this season. Since Jan. 11, the 26-year-old center has played his best hockey of the campaign with 10 points in as many games. With 13 goals, he is just one away from matching his career high through 72 regular-season games during the 2022-23 campaign. Saturday's contest also saw him get the nod as New Jersey's top-line center at even strength with Jack Hughes (lower body) sidelined. If Glass can maintain a middle-six role once Hughes returns, he is set to remain fantasy relevant and could be a solid streaming option in various league formats.

Timo Meier - Scores lone goal in loss Meier tallied a goal, placed three shots on net and dished out five hits in Saturday's 4-1 loss to Ottawa.
Impact Meier placed the lone blemish on Linus Ullmark's triumphant return for Ottawa with a goal late in the first period. Overall, Meier is up to 14 goals, 28 points, 169 shots on net, 89 hits and 32 blocked shots across 50 appearances this season. Despite his slow start to the new year offensively, the 29-year-old winger has remained involved with a steady stream of category-coverage stats. While value in fantasy is fading in standard fantasy leagues, his 169 shots on goal rank 16th in the NHL, making him a solid option in category-based leagues.

Jake Sanderson - Plates two helpers in win Sanderson recorded two assists, placed two shots on net and recorded three blocked shots in Saturday's 4-1 win over New Jersey.
Impact Sanderson was heavily involved in the third period, as he recorded a power-play assist just 37 seconds into the period before later assisting Shane Pinto's empty-net goal. The pair of helpers brings Sanderson up to 34 assists and 44 points, to go with 114 shots on net and 107 blocked shots across 54 games this season. The 23-year-old blueliner is currently tied for seventh in points among NHL defensemen and hasn't shown any signs of slowing down. With 11 points in his last nine games, he continues to play the premier role on the blue line for the Senators, who have a shot to start soaring up the Eastern Conference standings following the return of goalie Linus Ullmark. Sanderson is on track to shatter his career best of 57 points, which he compiled across 80 regular-season games a year ago, making him a high-level fantasy option in all league formats.
