Jake Allen - Defending crease Saturday Allen will protect the home net versus Washington on Saturday, according to Daniel Amoia of The Hockey Writers.

Impact Allen will get the second half of New Jersey's back-to-back after Jacob Markstrom played in Friday's 5-4 win over Detroit. The 34-year-old Allen has won his last two outings, including a 23-save performance in a 3-2 triumph over the Capitals last Saturday. He has a 5-2-1 record with two shutouts, a 2.26 GAA and a .916 save percentage through eight appearances this season. Washington ranks first in the league with 4.13 goals per game in 2024-25.

Tomas Tatar - Unavailable Saturday Tatar (lower body) will miss Saturday's tilt against Washington, according to Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site.

Impact Tatar suffered the injury during Friday's 5-4 win over Detroit. He's regarded as day-to-day, so the 33-year-old might still be an option for Monday's game against the Rangers. In the meantime, Shane Bowers will draw into the lineup versus the Capitals.

Marco Kasper - Adds assist in loss Kasper notched an assist, three shots on goal and four hits in Friday's 5-4 loss to the Devils.

Impact Kasper ended a four-game slump with the helper. The 20-year-old continues to see regularly usage in a middle-six role and on the second power-play unit, giving him some appeal in redraft formats as well as dynasty. Kasper is up to five points, 31 shots on net, 28 hits and an even plus-minus rating over 19 appearances, but he could grow into better production over the course of 2024-25.

Ben Chiarot - Finds assist in loss Chiarot notched an assist, three hits, three blocked shots and four PIM in Friday's 5-4 loss to the Devils.

Impact Chiarot snapped an 18-game point drought with his helper Friday. He has 10 PIM over his last three games -- Chiarot isn't afraid to play tough, but if the penalties get sloppy, he could lose playing time. The defenseman is at three assists, 27 shots on net, 31 PIM, 34 hits, 51 blocked shots and a minus-10 rating over 23 outings. The 33-year-old plays a stay-at-home style, so a lack of offense shouldn't some as a surprise.

Jeff Petry - Picks up helper Friday Petry notched an assist and three blocked shots in Friday's 5-4 loss to the Devils.

Impact Petry snapped a seven-game point drought with his helper. The 36-year-old has been in the lineup regularly for most of November, often playing second-pairing minutes, and he sees power-play time when Erik Gustafsson is scratched. Petry is up to three helpers, 12 shots on net, 26 hits, 33 blocked shots and a minus-8 rating over 19 appearances this season.
