Danton Heinen - Up from AHL Heinen was called up by Columbus on Thursday.

Impact Miles Wood (leg) was put on injured reserve in a corresponding move. Heinen has a goal and two points in 13 appearances with Pittsburgh this season. The Blue Jackets acquired him from the Penguins on Monday in exchange for Yegor Chinakhov. Heinen was initially assigned to AHL Cleveland after the trade, and he registered an assist in one game with the Monsters before being summoned to the big club.

Dysin Mayo - Collects first point of season Mayo notched an assist in Wednesday's 3-2 loss to the Devils.

Impact Mayo picked up a helper in his second NHL outing of the season. It was his first point since he had 12 in 67 games for the Coyotes in 2021-22. The 29-year-old defenseman is filling in as an emergency depth option on the Blue Jackets' blue line, but he'll likely head back to AHL Cleveland once Zach Werenski (lower body) or Erik Gudbranson (hip) can come off injured reserve.

Impact Coyle had gone six games without a goal, though he had four assists in that span. The 33-year-old had 10 points over 14 outings in December for his most productive month of the campaign. He's up to six goals, 25 points, 52 shots on net, 58 hits, 23 blocked shots and a minus-2 rating through 39 contests this season, mainly in a middle-six role.

Impact Meier had been held off the scoresheet in four straight games after taking a personal leave of absence. The 29-year-old winger snapped the slump with a helper on Arseny Gritsyuk's game-tying tally at 3:44 of the third period. Meier is in a second-line role currently and has seen his ice time decline slightly since his absence. He's at 24 points, 114 shots, 67 hits, 22 blocked shots and a minus-7 rating across 35 appearances.

Arseny Gritsyuk - Gets tying goal in win Gritsyuk scored a goal in Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Blue Jackets.

Impact The Devils needed to come back from a two-goal deficit to get this win, and they did just that with a burst of three tallies in 1:56 during the third period. Gritsyuk had the tying goal in that rally, his first point in five games since he returned from an upper-body injury. He's now at eight goals, 17 points, 80 shots on net, 37 hits and a minus-5 rating over 36 appearances this season, mainly in a middle-six role.

Jet Greaves - Gives up three goals Greaves stopped 30 of 33 shots in Wednesday's 3-2 loss to the Devils.

Impact Greaves was excellent in the first 40 minutes of play, but things changed quickly once the Devils scored three unanswered goals in the third period over a 1:56 span. Despite the loss, Greaves continues to deliver solid peripheral numbers while looking increasingly comfortable as the Blue Jackets' No. 1 goaltender. He has a 2.29 GAA and a .922 save percentage over his last 10 games despite a subpar 4-6-0 record.

Mason Marchment - Point streak reaches five games Marchment scored a goal and took three shots in Wednesday's 3-2 loss to the Devils.

Impact Marchment broke the deadlock for the Blue Jackets at the 6:18 mark of the first period with a wrister, a goal that extended his current point streak to five games. He has four goals and two assists over that span, and the 30-year-old veteran should continue to have plenty of opportunities to keep producing as a top-line and first power-play unit member for Columbus. Marchment has six points in five games with the Blue Jackets since being acquired via trade from the Kraken on Dec. 19. He's recorded a goal or an assist in his five appearances since the trade.
