Jake Allen - Set to start Saturday Allen will guard the road goal versus the Capitals on Saturday, Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site reports.
Impact Allen got back in the win column with a 2-1 shootout win over the Penguins last Saturday, but he then rode the bench for two games to break the Devils' goalie rotation. The Capitals are struggling, having scored just 12 goals while going 1-3-0 over their last four contests.

Brett Pesce - Moved to long-term injured reserve Pesce (upper body) was moved from regular IR to long-term injured reserve Saturday, per PuckPedia.
Impact Pesce hasn't played since Oct. 26, and he's not believed to be close to returning, so his timetable hasn't necessarily changed. The Devils do gain some cap flexibility by putting him on LTIR. Pesce has three assists, two PIM, four hits and 24 blocks in nine appearances this year.

Cody Glass - Considered week-to-week Glass (upper body) is week-to-week, the team announced Saturday.
Impact Glass sustained the injury in Wednesday's 4-3 overtime win over Chicago. He has earned three goals, 19 shots on net and five blocked shots in 10 appearances this season. With Glass and Jack Hughes (finger) out of the lineup, Nathan Legare and Shane Lachance will play against Washington on Saturday.

Impact Hughes will be evaluated after the six-week mark. He has amassed 10 goals, 20 points, 69 shots on net and 10 blocked shots over 17 appearances this campaign. After being limited to 62 outings in each of the last two regular seasons, the 24-year-old forward is poised for another lengthy absence. Impact Lachance has an assist in 11 appearances with Utica in 2025-26. The 22-year-old will provide the Devils with another option, which New Jersey can use given the number of forwards who are currently unavailable. Connor Brown (upper body), Evgenii Dadonov (hand), Zack MacEwen (lower body) and Marc McLaughlin (undisclosed) were joined on the sidelines by Jack Hughes, who sustained a hand injury Thursday.
