Cody Glass - Out 7-10 days Per Predators' insider Alex Daugherty, Coach Andrew Brunette said Friday that Glass will be out of action for the next 7-10 days with a lower-body injury.

Impact Glass was injured early in the opening period Thursday against the Rangers. Glass has yet to pick up a point in five games this season. Philip Tomasino will likely draw back into the lineup in Glass' stead Saturday versus San Jose.

Artemi Panarin - Notches another helper Panarin picked up a power-play assist in Thursday's 4-1 loss to the Predators.

Impact The 31-year-old has scored better than 90 points in each of the last three full seasons, and Panarin has gotten on track quickly to do it again with a four-game point streak to begin the campaign, amassing a goal and five points over that span. He'll look to carry that momentum into a five-game road trip that begins Saturday in Seattle.

Impact The blueliner spoiled Juuse Saros' shutout bid by banking the puck home off the leg of a sprawling Ryan McDonagh late in the second period. It was Fox's first goal of the season, but he's found the scoresheet in every game so far and has five points in four contests.

Quick figures to make his first start for New York at some point during an upcoming five-game road trip, perhaps as soon as Saturday in Seattle given Shesterkin's bumpy beginning to the season.

Impact While it was a rough night for Shesterkin, none of the goals he allowed were particularly soft, as the first two came on defensive breakdowns in front of him and the last two came on Nashville power plays. The Rangers begin a five-game road trip Saturday in Seattle, and with Shesterkin having started four straight games to begin the season with a 2-2-0 record, a 3.14 GAA and an .879 save percentage, it might be a good opportunity for Quick to make his first start with the Blueshirts to give the team's franchise netminder a chance to reset.

Filip Forsberg - Two points against Rangers Forsberg scored a goal and an assist, both on the power play, in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Rangers.

Impact Both points came in the second period, extending Nashville's lead to 4-0 before New York was able to get on the board. The goal was Forsberg's first of the year, but after struggling to stay healthy in 2022-23, the 29-year-old has looked very good out of the gates this season with five points in five games.

Cole Smith - Lights lamp twice in win Smith scored his first two goals of the season, including the game-winner, in Thursday's 4-1 victory over the Rangers.

Impact Both tallies came in the first period, and Juuse Saros never relinquished that early lead. Smith had only four goals and 17 points in 69 games last season, but the 27-year-old checking winger is off to a strong start to 2023-24 with three points through five games to go along with seven shots, seven PIM, eight hits, three blocked shots and a plus-2 rating.
