Louis Domingue - Back in NHL Domingue was called up by the Rangers on Friday, per Vince Z. Mercogliano of USA Today.
Impact Domingue was returned to AHL Hartford earlier in the day for salary cap reasons. With Igor Shesterkin (lower body) and Jonathan Quick (upper body) both questionable for Sunday's home contest against Columbus, Domingue might dress as the starter or backup. He got the start Thursday, stopping 25 of 26 shots in a 4-1 win over Minnesota.

Daemon Hunt - Sent back to minors Hunt was reassigned to AHL Iowa on Friday.
Impact Hunt was the odd man out after the club activated Jared Spurgeon (upper body) off injured reserve -- no doubt in part because he is waiver exempt, unlike Jon Merrill. The 21-year-old Hunt has played in five games this season in which he registered three shots, two hits and eight blocks while averaging a meager 8:36 of ice time. Fantasy players should probably expect the youngster to spend the bulk of the 2023-24 campaign in the minors, limiting his overall fantasy value this season.

Jared Spurgeon - Activated off injured reserve Spurgeon (upper body) has been taken off injured reserve ahead of Friday's matchup with Buffalo.
Impact Previous reports indicated Spurgeon wouldn't be ready to play Friday but it seems that the veteran defender is good to go. Given his lengthy absence, the Edmonton native could be eased back into action with limited minutes, though some power-play ice time would likely minimize any potential chance of re-aggravating his upper-body issue. In a corresponding move, Daemon Hunt was shipped down to the minors.

Artemi Panarin - Point streak at 13 games Panarin scored an empty-net goal and added an assist in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Wild.
Impact The 32-year-old waited until the third period to extend his season-opening point streak to 13 games, but after setting up Alexis Lafreniere for what proved to be the game-winning tally, Panarin fired home an empty-netter from the Rangers' side of center ice to wrap up the scoring. After topping 90 points in each of the prior two campaigns, he's got his sights set on reaching the century mark for the first time and has piled up eight goals and 22 points during his streak, good for third in the NHL scoring race. The franchise record for consecutive games with points to begin a season is 14, set by Rod Gilbert in 1972-73, so Panarin will be looking to make some history in Sunday's home tilt against his former club, the Blue Jackets.

Vincent Trocheck - Three-point night against Wild Trocheck scored a goal and picked up two assists in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Wild.
Impact The veteran center opened the scoring early in the first period, snapping a shot past Marc-Andre Fleury from the faceoff circle, then dished two helpers as the Rangers pulled away in the third. Trocheck is on a heater, racking up three goals and six points in the last three games after managing only one goal and four points in the season's first 10 contests, and as long as he maintains a spot on the top power-play unit his fantasy value should be secure.

Dylan Garand - Heading to AHL Garand was demoted to AHL Hartford on Friday.
Impact Garand was recalled to back up Louis Domingue and both were returned to the AHL. Garand had a 2.63 GAA and .914 save percentage with the Wolfpack before his recall.
