Signs with Boston Lucic signed a one-year, $1 million contract with Boston on Saturday, Dave Pagnotta of The Fourth Period reports.

Impact Lucic returns home to his first NHL team after eight seasons away from the Bruins. He is not the player he was when he spent the first seven years of his NHL career with Boston, but he will still provide toughness as a fourth-line forward. Lucic had seven goals, 12 assists, 43 PIM and 168 hits in 77 games with Calgary last season.

Impact Lucic scored early in the third period to tie the contest at 4-4. It was his seventh goal and 19th point in 72 games this season. Lucic has two markers and three points over his last five appearances, which is a fairly good offensive stretch by his standards.

Scores Thursday Lucic tallied a goal on his lone shot in Thursday's 3-2 loss to Vegas.

Impact Lucic got Calgary on the scoresheet late in the first period, burying a feed from Walker Duehr on an odd-man rush. The goal is Lucic's first since Feb. 22. The 34-year-old veteran is up to six goals and 17 points through 68 games this season. While Lucic still provides a physical presence (150 hits), he shouldn't be counted on to provide much offense while playing on the Flames' fourth line.

Helpers in back-to-back games Lucic earned an assist and added two hits in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Coyotes.

Impact Lucic has an assist in each of his last two games after going eight contests without a point. The big winger set up Walker Duehr's second-period tally. Lucic is up to 16 points, 65 shots on net, 147 hits, 37 PIM and a minus-10 rating through 65 outings, but it's unlikely even a moderate burst of offense would move him up past the fourth line.
