Back in NHL Misa (not injury related) was recalled to the active roster Tuesday after playing for Canada at the 2026 IIHF World Junior Championship.

Impact The Sharks moved Shakir Mukhamadullin (upper body) to injured reserve in a corresponding move. Misa had two goals and seven points in seven games at the tournament en route to capturing the bronze medal. He has provided one goal, two assists, 13 shots on net and five blocked shots in seven NHL outings this season.

Will represent Team Canada Misa (lower body) has been loaned to Team Canada for the upcoming World Junior Championships, the Sharks announced Wednesday.

Impact Misa, who is on long-term injured reserve, was sent to AHL San Jose on Dec. 3 for a conditioning stint. He has an assist in two outings in the AHL as well as a goal and three points in seven outings with the Sharks this season. Loaning him to Team Canada is an opportunity for him to play an important role in high-stakes situations, which should be beneficial to his development. Impact Misa has a goal and three points in seven appearances this season. He hasn't played since Nov. 1 because of the injury. Heading to the minors will be a good chance for Misa to shake off the rust and log big minutes as he continues his development.

Set to miss several more weeks Head coach Ryan Warsofsky said Monday that Misa (lower body) is slated to miss more than two additional weeks, Max Miller of NHL.com reports.

Impact Misa landed on injured reserve Nov. 6, and he was considered week-to-week when the move was made. He doesn't yet have a clear timetable to return, but Warsofsky indicated Monday that Misa is behind Jeff Skinner (lower body), who is set to miss approximately two weeks. As a result, Misa isn't expected to be in the mix to return until at least early December.
