Impact Groshev will head back to the minors after serving as a healthy scratch against the Islanders on Tuesday -- the third time this season that the blueliner has watched from the press box. Given the new rules surrounding call-ups, Groshev will have to suit up against AHL Cleveland on Thursday before he can be brought back up.

Impact Groshev was a healthy scratch in each of his last two appearances on the Bolts' roster. Still, with Darren Raddysh (personal) in doubt to miss Tuesday's clash with the Islanders, Groshev could be pressed into service. At a minimum, Groshev will serve as the emergency depth option for Tampa Bay.

Impact Groshev was a healthy scratch in both games this week. He has yet to make his NHL debut, after the 23-year-old was selected in the third round, 85th overall, in 2020. Groshev had six assists in 17 AHL games before his recall.

Impact Groshev has accounted for six assists in 17 minor-league outings this season. He could make his NHL debut against Philadelphia on Monday if Nikita Kucherov (undisclosed) or Brayden Point (undisclosed) is unavailable to play.

Impact Groshev has yet to score a goal this season, collecting six assists over 10 games. He had just 14 points in 56 regular-season outings a year ago, down from 30 points in 67 games in his AHL rookie year. Groshev is in the final year of his entry-level deal, and it's unclear if he's shown the Lightning enough to be given a qualifying offer this summer.

Signs entry-level contract Groshev signed a three-year, entry-level contract with Tampa Bay on Monday.

Impact Groshev produced six points in 34 games with SKA St. Petersburg of the KHL during the 2022-23 season. The Lightning selected the 21-year-old winger in the third round of the 2020 NHL Entry Draft.
