Hangs up skates McCormick announced Wednesday that he's ending his playing career.

Impact McCormick had eight goals, 13 points, 97 PIM and 163 hits in 94 career regular-season NHL games. The 34-year-old hasn't appeared in an NHL game since the 2023-24 campaign, and he didn't play at all in 2025-26 due to a hip injury.

Won't play in 2025-26 McCormick will miss the entirety of the 2025-26 campaign after undergoing hip surgery, the team announced Tuesday.

Impact McCormick has played in just one NHL regular-season game over the past three seasons, so his absence is unlikely to impact the majority of fantasy players. With his contract with the Kraken expiring July 1, the 33-year-old winger may have to settle for a minor-league-only deal heading into the 2026-27 campaign.

He is in the last season of his two-year, two-way contract and is a long shot to see much time with the Kraken, particularly if the injury lingers throughout the preseason and into the regular season.
