Impact Domi missed a couple of preseason games this week, one due to a family funeral. He will center Matthew Knies and Nick Robertson on the second line and will likely see some power-play time. Domi struggled offensively last season with eight goals and 25 assists in 74 games, but picked it up a bit in the playoffs with three goals and seven points in 13 postseason appearances.

Domi is being considered for the right-wing spot on the top line, alongside Matthew Knies and Auston Matthews, though it is more likely that he will start the season on the third unit. Domi had eight goals and 25 assists in 74 regular-season games in 2024-25.

Impact Domi sat out Tuesday's preseason game against the Senators while attending a family funeral, but he was back with the team a day later. He's dealt with a lower-body injury early in training camp, but he practiced for the first time in camp Sunday and appears to be trending in the right direction. It's not yet clear whether he'll be able to suit up in Thursday's exhibition matchup against Montreal.

Impact Domi had been skating almost exclusively with the development staff for the first few days of training camp but took part in his first practice with the team Sunday. The 30-year-old figures to be a big part of the Maple Leafs this season, and he seems to be on a good track towards being available for the team's opener on Oct. 8. He had 33 points in 74 regular-season games last year.
