Fortunes fade in third period
Fleury allowed two goals on 27 shots in Saturday's 2-1 loss to the Wild.
Impact
Fleury had a shutout bid going into the third period. Kirill Kaprizov and Joel Eriksson Ek then scored just 55 seconds apart, and Fleury was left to the take the loss when the Golden Knights failed to respond. The 36-year-old goalie has four losses in last five games and a 17-9-0 record overall. He's posted a 2.14 GAA and a .924 save percentage in 26 outings. The Golden Knights are set to visit the Blues for games Monday and Wednesday.

Starting versus Wild
Fleury led the Golden Knights onto the ice, indicating he'll start Saturday's home game versus the Wild, David Schoen of the Las Vegas Review Journal reports.
Impact
Fleury has lost three of his last four games, posting a 3.53 GAA and an .880 save percentage in that span. The Wild are averaging 2.89 goals per game this season, which could present an out-of-form Fleury with some challenges.

Not good enough Wednesday
Fleury made 26 saves on 30 shots in Wednesday's 4-2 loss to the Kings.
Impact
Fleury did some work to keep the game close in the third period, but his four goals allowed in the first 40 minutes were too much for the Golden Knights to overcome. The 36-year-old slipped to 17-8-0 with a 2.14 GAA and a .924 save percentage in 25 games. He's lost three of his last four starts since Robin Lehner returned from a concussion. Fleury will likely watch Thursday's game against the Wild from the bench.

Slated to start
Per Jesse Granger of The Athletic, Fleury was the first goalie off the ice at morning skate, indicating he'll be between the pipes for Wednesday's home game versus LA.
Impact
Fleury was solid in his last start Saturday against Colorado, turning aside 22 of 24 shots en route to a 3-2 victory. The veteran backstop will try to earn his 18th win of the year in a home matchup with a struggling Kings club that's lost three straight games.

Healthy scratch Monday
Fleury is not injured but was given the night off for Monday's game against the Kings, Jesse Granger of The Athletic reports.
Impact
Vegas likely wants to manage the 36-year-old's playing time as the season begins to ramp up towards the playoffs. Fleury is having a terrific year but has struggled a bit as of late, recording a 3.07 GAA and .896 save percentage over his last eight games. He'll likely get the starting nod Wednesday against Los Angeles.

Unavailable Monday
Fleury (undisclosed) will not dress for Monday's game against the Kings, David Schoen of the Las Vegas Review Journal reports.
Impact
Oscar Dansk will serve as Robin Lehner's backup for Monday's contest. It's unclear if Fleury suffered some sort of injury or if he's simply getting the night off. An update could be available after the game.

Climbing NHL record book
Fleury made 22 saves in a 3-2 overtime win over the Avalanche on Saturday.
Impact
Fleury needs one win to tie Ed Belfour (484) for fourth in NHL history. The ice was a big lopsided -- the Golden Knights outshot the Avs in every period -- so the Flower needed to be sharp while waiting for the game to come back to his end. He's back in a platoon with Robin Lehner once again on the bench, so passing the Eagle will probably wait a week. Fleury just continues to pad his Hall-of-Fame resume.

Patrolling crease Saturday
Fleury will defend the road net in Saturday's game versus the Avalanche, David Schoen of the Las Vegas Review Journal reports.
Impact
Fleury suffered back-to-back losses while posting an .873 save percentage, but he has a chance to get back on track Saturday. It won't be an easy task, as the Avalanche -- the league's second-ranked offense with 3.47 goals per game -- is essentially at full strength once again.

Unusually leaky Thursday
Fleury surrendered five goals on 32 shots in Thursday's 5-1 loss to the Avalanche.
Impact
The Golden Knights led 1-0 after the first period, but it was all Avalanche in the final 40 minutes. Fleury wasn't able to fend off the attack, taking his second straight loss. The 36-year-old is 16-7-0 with a 2.06 GAA and a .927 save percentage in 23 starts. Head coach Pete DeBoer has rolled with alternating starts between Fleury and Robin Lehner -- if that pattern holds, Lehner will start Saturday versus the Avalanche while Fleury would get Monday's game against the Kings.

Impact
Fleury was decent in his last start Sunday against the Kings, stopping 28 of 31 shots, but he ultimately suffered his sixth loss of the season due to insufficient goal support from his teammates. The veteran backstop will try to get back in the win column in a difficult road matchup with an Avalanche squad that's averaging 3.65 goals per game at home this year, fifth in the NHL.
