Notches helper in win
Dach posted an assist and two blocked shots in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Islanders.
Impact
This was Dach's fourth game back after he missed nearly three weeks due to an upper-body injury. The 25-year-old forward has been in a middle-six role since his return, so his scoring contributions are likely to remain limited. He's at eight goals, seven assists, 47 shots on net, 53 hits and a minus-2 rating over 36 appearances this season.

Caufield and Texier score in shootout as Canadiens beat Panthers 4-3
Cole Caufield and Alexandre Texier scored in the shootout after Nick Suzuki’s late tying goal as the Montreal Canadiens beat the Florida Panthers 4-3 on Tuesday night

Good to go
Dach (upper body) will be an option for Tuesday's home game against the Panthers, per Eric Engels of Sportsnet.
Impact
The Canadiens said March 17 that Dach would be out for 2-4 weeks, so his return comes right in the middle of that timeline. Alexandre Texier (lower body) has also been given the green light to play, so the Canadiens are nearly fully healthy up front, with the exception of Patrik Laine (abdomen). Dach might center the fourth line between Phillip Danault and Brendan Gallagher on Tuesday.

Kirby Dach out two to four weeks | Montréal Canadiens
Forward sidelined with upper-body injury
MARCH 17
•
NHL.COM
Set to miss time
Dach will be out for 2-4 weeks as a result of his upper-body injury.
Impact
Dach was hurt in Sunday's 4-3 loss to Anaheim. The 2019 No. 3 overall pick's season has been plagued by injuries once again, and he'll now be out of the lineup until at least the end of March. Since Dach is sidelined, Zachary Bolduc, who was a healthy scratch Sunday, will draw back into the lineup Tuesday against the Bruins in a massive divisional game. Dach has posted eight goals, 14 points, 45 shots, 43 hits and an even plus-minus rating over 32 appearances in 2025-26.

Injured against Anaheim
Dach sustained an upper-body injury during Sunday's game against the Ducks and will not return.
Impact
Dach left the game after taking a hit during the first period, per Stu Cowan of The Montreal Gazette. If the right-shot forward is unable to suit up in Tuesday's divisional matchup against Boston, Zachary Bolduc will more than likely draw back into the lineup.
