Stays hot with helper Sherwood logged an assist and six hits in Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Golden Knights.

Impact Sherwood has earned seven points, 18 shots on net and 42 hits over his last six contests. The 30-year-old's already smashed the NHL record for hits in a season, and he's currently at 441 through 73 appearances, 151 ahead of the second-place hitter, Columbus' Mathieu Olivier. Sherwood is also at 37 points, 132 shots on net, 33 PIM and a minus-2 rating. He's currently in a third-line role, but he's found ways to contribute in a variety of roles.

Impact Sherwood has posted back-to-back three-point performances, as he also notched two goals and one assist in the win over the Islanders on Wednesday. Sherwood might have a bottom-six role in the lineup, but he's finding ways to get involved either as a scoring weapon or as a physical force. Impact Sherwood's tally was the first of the game for Vancouver which helped them shrink an early 2-0 deficit. With his 10 hits, Sherwood tied the single-season hits record of 383 that Nashville's Jeremy Lauzon set a season ago. Sherwood's impact and ability to apply pressure for the Canucks has been immeasurable. He's been no slouch offensively either with 29 points which is a new career high for the 29-year-old winger. Four of Sherwood's points have come in the last four games and it's encouraging to see him make a large impact down the stretch. For fantasy purposes, Sherwood should be rostered in deeper leagues and banger formats with his physical playstyle.
