Heading west in trade Cecconi was traded to the Kings from the Wild on Wednesday in exchange for Tyler Madden.

Impact Cecconi has not made his NHL debut yet. The 27-year-old defenseman is in his seventh AHL campaign and is on a career-best pace with 14 points over 51 appearances with Iowa. He will link up with AHL Ontario following the trade.

Waived Sunday Cecconi was placed on waivers Sunday for assignment to AHL Iowa, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports.

Impact Cecconi, who signed a two-way deal with Minnesota in the offseason, figures to spend most of, if not all, of the upcoming season with AHL Iowa. The 27-year-old blueliner has yet to make his NHL debut.

Impact Cecconi has played exclusively in the minors since graduating from the University of Michigan back in 2019. Selected by the Stars in the fifth round of the 2015 NHL Draft, the 27-year-old blueliner was never able to convince the organization to give him a shot. As such, fantasy players should probably be expecting more fo the same for Cecconi this year, even though he has a two-way deal in hand.

Impact Cecconi re-signed with the Sabres on a two-way deal after joining the Buffalo organization via trade last season. The 26-year-old defenseman will look to make his NHL debut at some point in the 2023-24 campaign.

Inks one-year contract Cecconi signed a one-year, two-way contract with Buffalo on Friday.

Impact The defenseman was dealt from the Dallas organization to Buffalo on Dec. 15 and spent the remainder of the season with AHL Rochester. Cecconi had three goals and 10 points in 53 AHL games in 2022-23. The 26-year-old has yet to play in the NHL.
