Having hearing with league office Drouin will have a hearing with the Department of Player Safety on Friday for cross-checking Pittsburgh's Connor Dewar.
Impact Drouin appeared to catch Dewar in the face with a cross-check during Thursday's 4-3 loss to Pittsburgh. The 30-year-old Drouin was hit with a five-minute cross-checking penalty in addition to a 10-minute game misconduct, though both penalties came with just 15 seconds left in the contest. At a minimum, fantasy managers should expect Drouin to be suspended for at least Saturday's clash with the Capitals, though it could be longer.

Not expected to play Thursday Head coach Patrick Roy said Wednesday that he doesn't expect Drouin (illness) to play in Thursday's preseason game against the Flyers, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.
Impact Drouin didn't participate in Wednesday's practice due to an illness, and he'll presumably be held out of the Islanders' preseason finale. It seems likely that he's being held out as a precautionary measure, and it wouldn't be surprising to see him in the mix to suit up on Opening Night against the Penguins on Oct. 9.

Pens two-year deal Tuesday Drouin signed a two-year, $8 million contract with the Islanders on Tuesday, per Chris Johnston of The Athletic.
Impact Drouin made 43 regular-season appearances with Colorado last season, providing 11 goals, 37 points and a plus-4 rating. The 2013 first-round selection won't be insulated by high-end talent like he was with the Avs, but he has a chance to earn a top-six role with the Isles in 2025-26. The 30-year-old will almost certainly see time with the man advantage, with the chance to work his way onto the No. 1 unit with players like Mathew Barzal and Bo Horvat. As such, Drouin could carve out decent fantasy value throughout the life of his new deal.
