Earns win in spot start Johansson stopped 29 of 31 shots in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Predators.
Impact Johansson was beaten in the first and second periods, but overall, he looked competent between the pipes and did enough to support Tampa Bay's comeback in the third frame. Johansson earned his first win since Jan. 12, but given that he rarely suits up for the Bolts, he's not a player to target in most fantasy formats -- even on games where Andrei Vasilevskiy gets a breather.

Gets rare start Sunday Johansson will tend the goal Sunday against the Predators, Brooks Bratten of the Predators' official site reports.
Impact Of the Lightning's 15 games in March so far, this is just the third one that will be started by Johansson. The 30-year-old hasn't picked up a win since January as he's gone 0-3-1 in his last four starts. He is 10-9-2 on the season with a 3.26 GAA and an .883 save percentage. After a five-game win streak, the Predators have taken losses in back-to-back games while combining to score just three goals.

Concedes four goals Sunday Johansson stopped 25 of 29 shots in Sunday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Flames.
Impact Johansson wasn't able to finish off a perfect road trip for the Lightning, but he at least got them one standings point with a lockdown third period. He is winless over his last five outings, giving up 24 goals on 154 shots in that span. For the season, the veteran backup is 10-9-2 with a 3.26 GAA and an .883 save percentage over 23 appearances. The Lightning are likely to turn back to Andrei Vasilevskiy at home Tuesday versus the Wild, but with a back-to-back coming up over the weekend, Johansson shouldn't have to wait long for his next start.

Set to start in Calgary Johansson will guard the road net Sunday against the Flames, Ryan Pike of Flames Nation reports.
Impact Johansson hasn't played since March 8 against the Sabres -- he conceded eight goals on 42 shots during an 8-7 loss in that game. The Swedish netminder has a 10-9-1 record, 3.23 GAA and .884 save percentage through 22 appearances this season. The Flames have won back-to-back games against the Blues and Panthers.
MARCH 22 • ROTOWIRE
Concedes eight in goalfest Johansson stopped 34 of 42 shots in Sunday's 8-7 loss to the Sabres.
Impact Conceding seven goals is far from ideal, as Johansson only posted an .810 save percentage in one of the highest-scoring games of the 2025-26 NHL season so far. Johansson has appeared in six games (five starts) since the beginning of January, going 2-3-0 with a 4.35 GAA and an .855 save percentage. He's firmly entrenched as the Bolts' No. 2 option between the posts behind Andrei Vasilevskiy, so he's not going to have a lot of upside in most slates, but even when he's scheduled to start, he's a matchup-based, streaming-only option.

Between pipes Sunday Johansson will guard the road goal against the Sabres on Sunday, Mike Harrington of The Buffalo News reports.
Impact Johansson will get the second half of Tampa Bay's back-to-back after Andrei Vasilevskiy played in Saturday's 5-2 win over Toronto. The 30-year-old Johansson has gone 10-8-1 this campaign with a 2.98 GAA and an .890 save percentage across 21 appearances. Buffalo ranks seventh in the league with 3.40 goals per game this season.
MARCH 8 • ROTOWIRE
Solid in relief Johansson made 20 saves in relief Saturday in a 6-2 loss to the Sabres. He allowed one goal.
Impact The Bolts had no compete and little focus Saturday, so netminding was an adventure behind them. Andrei Vasilevskiy allowed five goals on 14 shots, and coach Jon Cooper yanked him to prove a point. Johansson was solid, but it won't earn him more time in net. The Bolts may give him starts when they are home and cooled later in the season. Tampa Bay is four points ahead of Buffalo and five ahead of Montreal, and they will make sure they are solid in first before Johansson gets multiple starts.

Can't overcome rough start Johansson made 28 saves in a 5-4 loss to Carolina on Thursday.
Impact Johansson got off to a rough start, allowing three goals in the first 10 minutes of the game. He has lost his last two games and allowed 11 goals in that span. Starter Andrei Vasilevskiy is well rested, so don't expect Johansson to see too much time in the blue paint.

Tending twine Thursday Johansson will protect the road goal versus the Hurricanes on Thursday, Ryan Henkel of The Hockey News reports.
Impact Johansson will handle the second half of a back-to-back after Andrei Vasilevskiy earned a 4-2 win over the Maple Leafs on Wednesday. Johansson played just three times in January, allowing 10 goals on 70 shots. He's got a tough matchup ahead, especially since he hasn't played since Jan. 24.
FEBRUARY 26 • ROTOWIRE
First loss in four starts Johansson made 23 saves in an 8-5 loss to Columbus on Saturday. he allowed six goals.
Impact The game was chaotic. Columbus scored four goals in the first period, and they put up two more in the second. It was Johansson's first loss in four games, but that's all he'd played since the December break. He is 10-7-1 with a 2.91 GAA and .890 save percentage in 18 starts this season. Expect a light workload the rest of the way, except for the post-Olympic period. Andrei Vasilevskiy will deserve and need a rest after Milano Cortina.

Guarding road goal Johansson is set to start on the road against Columbus on Saturday, per Mark Scheig of The Hockey Writers.
Impact Johansson will be making his first start since Jan. 12. He's been used sparingly behind Andrei Vasilevskiy, and Johansson has a 10-6-1 record, 2.73 GAA and .896 save percentage in 18 outings this campaign. Columbus has won five of its past six games, outscoring the competition 18-12 across that stretch.
JANUARY 24 • ROTOWIRE
Third straight win Johansson made 20 saves in a 5-1 win over the Flyers on Monday.
Impact Well, well, well -- look at this. Johansson has won three straight games, allowing eight goals (.895) in that span. He's a goalie who can get the Bolts wins, but he struggles to keep his counting stats to the league average. At the same time, Johansson isn't a fantasy liability, so you can get him in your blue paint when you know he's the starter.

Tending twine Monday Johansson will defend the cage on the road versus the Flyers on Monday, Eduardo A. Encina of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Impact Johansson will take the first game of the Bolts' back-to-back, which means Andrei Vasilevskiy figures to be the goalie of record for Tuesday's road clash with Pittsburgh. In his 17 appearances this year, the 30-year-old Johansson is 9-6-1 with a .894 save percentage and 2.83 GAA.
JANUARY 12 • ROTOWIRE
Second straight win Johansson made 17 saves in a 5-3 win over the Kings on Thursday.
Impact It was a tight contest, with the Bolts finally netting the go-ahead snipe with just 1:41 left in the final frame. Johansson has won two straight games, allowing seven goals in that span. And he hasn't recorded a save percentage above .892 in his last five starts (3-1-1). Johansson benefits from the team in front of him, not the other way around. He's a spot start only option.
