Impact Hofer has surrendered at least three goals in three straight outings, a span in which he is 1-2-0 with a 3.41 GAA and an .877 save percentage. The 25-year-old will face a Carolina squad that is on the second half of a back-to-back -- the Hurricanes lost in overtime in Detroit on Monday by a 4-3 score. Carolina is 12-6-3 away from home in 2025-26 and has generated 3.35 goals per game, which ranks seventh in the NHL.

Impact Hofer hadn't allowed more than three goals in any of his last five outings. He's played well enough to earn a timeshare in the crease with Jordan Binnington, who has remained volatile this season. Hofer is now 9-9-2 with a 2.94 GAA and an .897 save percentage over 24 appearances. The Blues will likely turn to Binnington on Saturday in Vegas, but this crease is still very much up for grabs until one goalie can string some positive starts together.

Impact Hofer has sat for three of the Blues' last four games, but he'll draw the start Friday after Jordan Binnington struggled mightily during Wednesday's loss in Chicago. Hofer has gone 4-1-0 with a 2.00 GAA and .930 save percentage over his last five starts. He's made two starts against Utah this year, going 1-0-0 with a 2.65 GAA and .875 save percentage.

At this point, Hofer should probably be considered the No. 1 option in St. Louis, though his hold on that spot is tenuous at best.
