Not playing in season finale Nyquist (undisclosed) has been ruled out of Thursday's tilt versus San Jose.
Impact Nyquist will miss his 10th straight game to end the regular season. He had one goal and 11 assists in 51 games with the Jets in 2025-26 and at the age of 36, he may not get another opportunity to play at the NHL level.

At this point, it seems unlikely that the veteran winger will be able to return in time to face Utah on Tuesday, with the team heading into a back-to-back. If Nyquist doesn't return before the end of the regular season, he will finish the year having generated 12 points in 51 contests.

He is on a one-year deal with Winnipeg and this could be his last season in the NHL, based on his age and lack of production.

Impact It seems Nyquist is dealing with an undisclosed injury, and the fact that he's not cleared for contact effectively rules him out versus Seattle. The 36-year-old winger hasn't played in the Jets' last four outings, so it's possible he was dealing with this problem and not simply a healthy scratch. Even when healthy, Nyquist doesn't offer enough fantasy value to make him more than a low-end option.

Impact It's Nyquist's first goal of the season and first as a Jet. It came in his 40th game this season. His time as a source of secondary scoring seems to be over. Nyquist has just 10 points this season after putting up 28 in 81 games last season. It's easy to forget that his career-best 75 points in 2023-24.

Impact Nyquist logged just two helpers in four appearances during January. His struggles this season have been obvious, leaving him as a regular healthy scratch as the Jets try to right the ship.
