Impact Cormier will serve as the Panthers' third goaltender in the playoffs, behind Sergei Bobrovsky and Vitek Vanecek. Cormier was 17-13-4 with a 3.38 GAA and an .887 save percentage across 36 appearances with Savannah before his recall.

Hits waiver wire Cormier was placed on waivers by the Panthers on Thursday, according to Chris Johnston of The Athletic.

Impact The netminder has spent the season at ECHL Savannah, going 14-9-2 with a 3.56 GAA and an .881 save percentage. The 27-year-old has never played in the NHL.

Recalled from AHL The Panthers recalled Cormier from ECHL Florida on Saturday, according to Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site.

Impact Cormier will replace Anthony Stolarz (undisclosed) on the roster and back up Sergei Bobrovsky on Saturday versus Tampa Bay. Cormier has being playing at the ECHL level as the Panthers do not have an AHL affiliate. Cormier was 8-6-3 with a 2.88 GAA and a .906 save percentage before his recall. Look for the Panthers to return Cormier to the minors after the contest as they do not play again until Thursday versus Nashville.

Heads to AHL Cormier was released from his professional tryout agreement and assigned to AHL Charlotte on Sunday.

Impact Cormier signed a one-year, AHL contract with the Checkers in July. He posted a 10-20-3 record with a 3.19 GAA and a .908 save percentage in 35 appearances with ECHL Kalamazoo. He also went 1-1-0 with a 2.54 GAA and a .925 save percentage in two outings for AHL Manitoba during the 2022-23 campaign.
