Pots pair of goals in overtime loss Luostarinen scored two goals, including one on the power play, in Thursday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Sharks.

Impact Luostarinen had the Panthers' first two goals of the contest. The 28-year-old forward has added four shots on net and four hits over two games this season. He's seeing time on the third line, though he could be a candidate for power-play usage if Aleksander Barkov (leg) gets bad news with his injury evaluation after leaving Thursday's game early. Luostarinen has enough physicality to be useful in deeper fantasy formats, but he's topped the 40-point mark just once in his five full-length seasons.

Adds muscle in offseason Luostarinen focused on adding muscle during the offseason, Rob Darragh of the Panthers' official site reports Friday.

Impact Luostarinen is slated to be on the third line to begin 2026-27, though he has occasionally moved up in the lineup. The longer offseason created by the Panthers missing the playoffs last spring opened the door for Luostarinen to do more in his offseason workouts. He has recorded at least 24 points in each of the last five years, so he'll have some appeal in deeper fantasy formats.

Racks up three points in win Luostarinen scored a goal, dished two assists and went plus-2 in Saturday's 6-2 win over the Maple Leafs.

Impact As one of the Panthers' few regulars who hasn't joined the walking wounded, Luostarinen has been pressed into a top-line role. He opened the scoring just 23 seconds into this game before helping out on goals by Mackie Samoskevich and A.J. Greer in the third period. Luostarinen has five points over his last three contests, giving him 11 goals, 32 points, 106 shots on net, 120 hits, 57 blocked shots, 32 PIM and a plus-2 rating over 71 outings. Assuming the Panthers don't have lingering long-term issues for 2026-27, Luostarinen will likely revert to a defensively-inclined middle-six role next season.

Pots goal in shootout win Luostarinen scored a goal on two shots and added three hits in Tuesday's 5-4 shootout win over the Kraken.

Impact Luostarinen earned his first goal and point in three games since he sat out one contest during the Panthers' most recent road trip. The 27-year-old is up to nine goals, 26 points, 90 shots on net, 113 hits and 46 blocked shots over 61 outings this season.
