Sent to minors Reinbacher was loaned to AHL Laval on Sunday.

Impact Reinbacher made his first two NHL appearances at the end of the 2025-26 regular season, but he was a healthy scratch for each of the Canadiens' first four games in their first-round series against the Lightning. The Rocket earned a first-round bye in the 2026 Calder Cup Playoffs and will take on AHL Toronto in Game 1 on Wednesday. Unless Reinbacher receives another call-up before then, the right-shot blueliner will play a major role with the minor-league club going forward.

Picks up assist in NHL debut Reinbacher notched an assist, two shots on goal and two blocked shots in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Islanders.

Impact This was Reinbacher's NHL debut, and he saw 11:17 of ice time. The Canadiens tend to shelter their third-pairing defensemen, so don't expect Reinbacher to get many minutes even if he's able to stay in the lineup during the ongoing absences of Noah Dobson (upper body) and Alexandre Carrier (upper body). The 21-year-old Reinbacher has 24 points in 57 AHL outings this season.

One of each in overtime win Reinbacher scored a goal on three shots and added an assist in AHL Laval's 4-3 overtime win over Belleville on Friday.

Impact Reinbacher earned his first goal and first multi-point effort of the season in this contest. He's at five points over nine games in 2025-26 since he recovered from a broken hand that kept him out of action for over four weeks to begin the season. The 21-year-old blueliner has had a long list of injuries early in his career, and the Canadiens' defense at the NHL level has been a strength, so the team can be patient with his development.
