Impact Jiricek was selected with the No. 6 overall pick in the 2022 NHL Draft, but he struggled to find a role with Columbus this season. He has two goals and three points in four outings with AHL Iowa and an assist in six appearances with the Blue Jackets in 2024-25. A fresh start in Minnesota might do Jiricek some good. The 21-year-old probably won't make his Wild debut Saturday against Nashville, but it wouldn't be surprising if he plays for Minnesota in the near future.
