Impact The team wants Jenner to get a few more skates in before inserting him back into the lineup. The 32-year-old has missed the last nine games with an upper-body injury. He was off to a good start before departing the lineup, registering three goals and seven assists in 16 games.

Impact Portzline believes Olivier is probably week-to-week, but Columbus hasn't announced that yet. The 28-year-old Olivier has missed the last two games and hasn't been skating. He has registered three goals, nine points, 29 shots on net, 19 blocked shots, 71 hits and 44 PIM across 23 appearances this season.

Kirill Marchenko - Is skating Marchenko (upper body) has been skating on his own, Aaron Portzline of The Athletic reports Saturday.
Impact Marchenko is expected to skate again Sunday but not participate in the team's practice. Although the 25-year-old is on track to miss his fourth straight game Monday when the Blue Jackets play in New Jersey, he might be on track to return for Thursday's clash against Detroit. Marchenko has eight goals and 22 points in 22 appearances this season. Luca Pinelli might lose his spot on the top six once Marchenko is healthy.

Impact This was Smith's second game of the season at the NHL level. He signed with the Blue Jackets on Monday after turning a professional tryout offer during training camp into an AHL-only deal initially. The defenseman will compete with Jake Christiansen for the last spot on the blue line for the foreseeable future. Smith has a helper, four shots on net, two hits, a blocked shot and a plus-1 rating so far.

Brendan Gaunce - Tallies shorthanded goal Gaunce scored a shorthanded goal in Friday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Penguins.
Impact Gaunce has two points, four shots on net, six hits, four blocked shots and four PIM over four games since replacing Luca Del Bel Belluz on the Blue Jackets' roster. The 31-year-old Gaunce provides defensive effort and experience, which is valuable for a young team to have around. However, he probably won't remain with the big club once some injured forwards are able to return.

Sean Monahan - Nets goal in overtime loss Monahan scored a goal on four shots in Friday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Penguins.
Impact Monahan ended a nine-game goal drought Friday. He earned just three assists in that span. Brian Hedger of The Columbus Dispatch reported earlier Friday that Monahan is likely playing through one or more minor injuries, which may explain his drop in productivity after it looked like the center had turned a corner in late October. On the year, Monahan has three goals, 11 points, 51 shots on net and a plus-2 rating over 25 appearances. If he's not at 100 percent, it'll be nearly impossible for him to match his total of 57 points from just 54 outings in 2024-25.

Zach Werenski - Collects two more points Werenski scored a goal on two shots, added a shorthanded assist and blocked two shots in Friday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Penguins.
Impact Werenski was in on both of the Blue Jackets' second-period tallies, with his goal putting them ahead 3-1 in the dying seconds of the frame. Impact Greaves has lost his last three games in overtime, allowing nine goals on 81 shots in that span. The 24-year-old hasn't been able to bail out the Blue Jackets from their third-period struggles, but he also hasn't lost a game in regulation since Nov. 5 versus the Flames. Greaves dropped to 7-4-5 with a 2.81 GAA and a .901 save percentage through 16 starts after this poor outing.
