Zach Aston-Reese - Finds helper in win Aston-Reese notched an assist and four hits in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Sabres.

Impact The helper on a Mathieu Olivier goal in the second period ended a 12-game drought for Aston-Reese. He was also scratched 19 times in that span, but injuries have thinned out the Blue Jackets' forward depth recently, affording him a chance to log bottom-six minutes. He's now at four helpers, 15 shots on net, 55 hits, 13 blocked shots and an even plus-minus rating through 21 appearances this season.

Brendan Gaunce - Nets shortie Saturday Gaunce scored a shorthanded goal, blocked three shots and went plus-3 in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Sabres.

Impact Gaunce's goal was his first point in four games since he returned from a personal leave. The 31-year-old forward continues to be used mostly in defensive situations while seeing time on the fourth line. Gaunce is at two goals, three assists, 14 shots on net, 36 hits, 12 blocked shots and a plus-2 rating over 16 appearances this season. He should continue to see steady playing time while the Blue Jackets are missing Sean Monahan (undisclosed), Isac Lundestrom (lower body) and Miles Wood (leg) from their forward group.

Impact This was Olivier's fourth game back after missing a month due to an upper-body injury. He's resumed his usual checking role on the third line, compiling 21 hits over those four contests. The depth scoring isn't likely to be consistent, but he'll have some appeal in deep fantasy formats. Olivier is at four goals, 10 points, 34 shots on net, 92 hits, 53 PIM and a plus-4 rating across 27 appearances this season.

Impact Sillinger's tally extended his point streak to four games (two goals, three assists). The 22-year-old center is still dealing with limited ice time -- he's averaged just 12:22 per game over his last six outings. For the year, he has five goals, 20 points, 76 shots on net, 47 hits, 18 PIM and a plus-3 rating in 39 appearances, mainly in a middle-six capacity.

Dmitri Voronkov - Scores in big win Voronkov scored a goal on three shots in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Sabres.

Impact Voronkov has two goals and two assists over his last six outings. Despite his recent steady production, he saw a season-low 9:11 of ice time Saturday. He's been trending downward in usage since the Blue Jackets acquired Mason Marchment from the Kraken, which makes Voronkov risky to hold in most fantasy formats. He still has 14 goals, 26 points, 80 shots on net, 61 hits, 47 PIM and a plus-1 rating over 40 appearances, but it'll be tough to match last year's 47-point output if his ice time continues to fall.

Damon Severson - Two-point effort Saturday Severson picked up two assists in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Sabres.

Impact The veteran blueliner helped set up tallies by Dmitri Voronkov late in the first period and Mathieu Olivier midway through the second. Severson has been on a roll of late, getting onto the scoresheet in five of the last six games and racking up a goal and eight points over that stretch. On the season, he has three goals and 17 points in 40 contests.

Zach Werenski - Two helpers in return to lineup Werenski notched two assists in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Sabres.

Impact The All-Star defenseman had missed the prior four games with a lower-body injury, but Werenski wasted little time showing he was fully healthy, helping to set up Denton Mateychuk for the afternoon's first tally just three minutes into the first period. Impact The 21-year-old netminder has gotten onto the scoresheet in five of the last six games, collecting two goals and seven points during that surge. Mateychuk has lit the lamp an impressive eight times this season in 39 games, tying him with the likes of John Carlson and Evan Bouchard for ninth in the NHL in goals among all defensemen.

The 24-year-old netminder has a firm hold on the top job in the Jackets' crease, allowing three goals of fewer in 11 straight outings dating back to Dec. 7 while going 5-6-0 with a .927 save percentage.
