Devon Toews - Deemed week-to-week Head coach Jared Bednar conveyed Tuesday that Toews (upper body) is week-to-week, according to Corey Masisak of The Denver Post.

Impact Bednar also said that a best-case scenario for Toews' return timeline might be two weeks. Toews has been a durable player over the last few years, but he'll now likely miss more than six regular-season games for the first time since 2021-22. The Avalanche will probably bring up a defenseman from the AHL in the near future to help offset Toews' injury.

Gabriel Landeskog - Facing multi-week absence Landeskog (upper body) is expected to be sidelined for "some weeks," according to head coach Jared Bednar, Corey Masisak of The Denver Post reports Tuesday.

Impact Landeskog hasn't been ruled out for Team Sweden at the upcoming 2026 Winter Olympics, but things certainly don't look good for the 33-year-old winger. With Landeskog sidelined, Ross Colton figures to step into a top-six role while Taylor Makar could get an extended look at the NHL level. At this point, with Landeskog considered week-to-week, he will likely find himself on injured reserve sooner rather than later.

Artturi Lehkonen - Pots lone goal in loss Lehkonen scored a goal on two shots in Sunday's 2-1 loss to the Panthers.

Impact Lehkonen's posted two goals and three assists during his five-game point streak. He's done most of that from the second line, but Gabriel Landeskog (upper body) was hurt Sunday, opening the door for Lehkonen to rejoin Nathan MacKinnon on the top line. Lehkonen is at 15 goals, 34 points, 102 shots on net, 30 hits and a plus-36 rating through 41 appearances. He excelled on the top line early in the campaign, so he's worth adding where available in fantasy, though he should be pretty hard to find as it is.

Scott Wedgewood - Takes rare loss versus Panthers Wedgewood stopped 23 of 25 shots in Sunday's 2-1 loss to the Panthers.

Impact Wedgewood did his part with a decent effort, but the Avalanche got burned on two turnovers and didn't have the offense to bail out their netminder. This ended Wedgewood's winning streak at five games, but it was just his second regulation loss all season. He's now 18-2-4 with a 2.17 GAA and a .918 save percentage across 26 starts. Considering he started both halves of a weekend back-to-back while Mackenzie Blackwood (lower body) is out, Wedgewood looks set for heavy usage in the short term, while Trent Miner is firmly in the backup role. The Avalanche's three-game road trip ends with another hard matchup Tuesday versus the Lightning.
