Keith Kinkaid - Links up with AHL Chicago Kinkaid signed a one-year contract with AHL Chicago on Tuesday.
Impact Chicago will operate independently this season, so Kinkaid will have no direct path back to an NHL deal. The 34-year-old split time between the Avalanche and the Bruins last season, playing in one game for each of those NHL clubs while spending the bulk of the campaign in the minors. Kinkaid will still be free to ink an NHL deal if he shows well with the Wolves.

Denis Malgin - Signs with Swiss team Malgin signed a five-year contract with the ZSC Lions of Switzerland's National League on Tuesday.
Impact Malgin accounted for 13 goals, 21 points, 112 shots on net and 68 hits over 65 games between Toronto and Colorado last season. The 26-year-old forward racked up 21 goals and 52 points in 48 contests for the ZSC Lions during the 2021-22 campaign.

Ross Colton - Inks four-year deal Colton agreed to a four-year, $16 million contract with Colorado on Monday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
Impact Colton and the Avalanche had an arbitration hearing scheduled for July 27, but now that won't be necessary. Colton produced 16 goals, 32 points, 153 shots on net and 188 hits in 81 games with Tampa Bay last season. Colorado acquired Colton from the Lightning on June 28 in exchange for the No. 37 pick, which was used on Ethan Gauthier, in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft.

Impact Helm is hanging up his skates after recording 119 goals and 286 points in 823 career NHL games with Detroit and Colorado. He's a two-time Stanley Cup winner, having participated in the Red Wings' 2008 championship run and the Avalanche's 2022 success. He had no points, 16 hits and three blocks in 11 contests with Colorado and missed considerable time due to injury last season.

Impact Johnson tallied two goals and eight points in 83 games last season, with both goals and four points coming after he rejoined the Avalanche from the Blackhawks at the trade deadline. The 36-year-old defenseman will likely compete for a bottom-pairing role with Colorado heading into the 2023 season.
