Rises to taxi squad Suess was recalled from AHL Manitoba to the taxi squad Sunday.

Impact Suess will be able to practice with the Jets moving forward. The 26-year-old likely will travel with the team on their upcoming three-game road trip starting in Toronto on Monday. Suess will need to be promoted from the taxi squad in order to play with the big club.

Placed on waivers Suess hit the waiver wire Monday, Rick Ralph of TSN 1290 Winnipeg reports.

Impact Suess made his NHL debut last season in which he registered one hit in 6:26 of ice time. Otherwise, the 26-year-old winger has been a career AHL player since completing his four-year stint with Mankato State. Depending on the health of Dominic Toninato (undisclosed) and Jansen Harkins (undisclosed), Suess may start out on the taxi squad but could find himself playing with the Moose before too long.

Re-ups with Jets Suess signed a two-year, two-way contract worth $1.45 million with the Jets on Saturday, Ken Wiebe of Sportsnet reports.

Impact The Jets continue to take care of business with their RFAs, locking down Suess for two more years. The 26-year-old made his NHL debut in November of 2019. He's also racked up 41 points in 89 games with AHL Manitoba over three seasons. He'll likely compete for a bottom-six role in training camp, but it's more realistic to assume he'll begin the season in the minors.

He's expected to stick with the Jets for another season, although he'll likely remain in the AHL.

Impact The 26-year-old saw action in just one NHL game this campaign, going minus-1 while skating in just 6:26 of ice time. Along with Suess, Logan Stanley and Nelson Nogier were cut. The team added goaltender Mikhail Berdin.
