Gavin Hayes - Two goals in AHL loss Hayes scored twice in AHL Rockford's 5-2 loss to Hershey on Sunday.
Impact Hayes has four goals and three assists over his last five outings in his best stretch of the season. Overall, he's at 14 points in 32 appearances with the IceHogs this year. He had just 15 points in 50 regular-season outings in 2024-25, so this is progress, but it's unlikely to be enough to make a call-up imminent.

Spencer Smallman - Distributes three helpers in win Smallman notched three assists in AHL Hershey's 5-2 win over Rockford on Sunday.
Impact Smallman missed about a month of action for the Bears, but he's earned a goal and five helpers over seven contests since his return. For the season, the forward has 12 points, 26 shots on net and a plus-3 rating over 19 appearances. Smallman got a one-week call-up with the Capitals earlier in the season, but it's unclear if the 29-year-old will see any NHL action should he be promoted again.

Graeme Clarke - Erupts for four points in AHL win Clarke scored three goals and added an assist in AHL Hershey's 5-2 win over Rockford on Sunday.
Impact Clarke had been limited to one goal over his previous nine outings before Sunday's rare burst of offense. The 24-year-old winger is up to nine goals, 14 points, 75 shots on net and a minus-3 rating over 27 appearances. While the Capitals are dealing with some injuries at the NHL level, Clarke hasn't been consistent enough to be a top option for a call-up.

Arvid Soderblom - Drawing start Sunday Soderblom is set to patrol the home blue paint versus the Golden Knights on Sunday, Tracey Myers of NHL.com reports.
Impact Soderblom has struggled lately, as he is 1-5-0 with a 5.40 GAA and an .842 save percentage across his last seven outings. Vegas ranks 15th in the NHL with 3.10 goals per game this season and has lost four straight contests (0-3-1) while scoring 12 goals during that stretch.

Connor Bedard - Expected back before Olympics Bedard (shoulder) is expected back before the Olympic break, Scott Powers of The Athletic reports Sunday.
Impact Bedard is still dealing with the shoulder injury suffered at the very end of the last game he played in on Dec. 12. He's missed the 10 games since then, and a return to the ice isn't imminent but is expected before the Olympic break, beginning Feb. 6. The 20-year-old is in the midst of his best season as a pro with 19 goals and 25 assists in 31 games on the season.
