Ryan Donato - Opens scoring on power play Donato scored a power-play goal on three shots and added two PIM in Friday's 3-2 shootout loss to the Canucks.
Impact Donato's putting his slow start to the season behind him -- he's earned two goals and an assist over the last three games. His tally Friday was his first power-play point of the campaign. The 29-year-old has added 15 shots on net, six hits, four PIM and a plus-1 rating over six appearances. Donato's got some scoring potential, but matching last year's 31-goal, 62-point effort will be a tall task.

Tyler Bertuzzi - Pots goal in shootout loss Bertuzzi scored a goal on six shots, added two PIM and doled out three hits in Friday's 3-2 shootout loss to the Canucks.
Impact Bertuzzi has scored in back-to-back games. The 30-year-old is off to a sharp start in 2025-26, racking up five points, 15 shots, nine hits and a plus-1 rating across six appearances. He's filling a second-line role with a spot on the second power-play unit. If he can keep his shot volume up and stay productive overall, Bertuzzi could take a run at his career-best year of 62 points in 68 appearances with the Red Wings in 2021-22.

Spencer Knight - Falls in shootout Knight stopped 30 of 32 shots in Friday's 3-2 shootout loss to the Canucks.
Impact Once again, Knight gave the Blackhawks good enough goaltending to have a chance at a win. He's unlucky to be 1-2-1 this year, having allowed just nine goals on 119 shots. The 24-year-old netminder is playing at a high level in a starting role, and the Blackhawks have showed some flashes of taking the first steps out of their rebuild. Fantasy managers should at least check on Knight -- his ratios won't hurt, even if he's having trouble compiling wins. The Blackhawks host another young team when the Ducks come to town Sunday.

Oliver Moore - Heroics in IceHogs' win Moore scored both goals for AHL Rockford in its 2-1 overtime win over Texas on Friday.
Impact Moore opened the scoring 1:15 into the first period and won it 2:18 into overtime. The 20-year-old forward is up to four goals and an assist through three minor-league games. He's doing everything he can to be ready for a call-up should the Blackhawks opt to change things up at the NHL level. However, Moore is unlikely to get promoted unless there's at least middle-six minutes waiting for him, as he's too talented to grind it out on the fourth line.

Marek Vanacker - Four-point effort Friday Vanacker scored twice and added two assists in OHL Brantford's 7-3 win over Brampton on Friday.
Impact Vanacker is up to 10 goals and 15 points through six games this season. He's one of a number quality prospects on the Bulldogs' roster, which also includes Seattle's Jake O'Brien and Minnesota's Adam Benak. Vanacker's quality offense has helped Brantford jump out to a 7-0-1-1 record to lead the OHL's Eastern Conference early in the season.

Spencer Knight - Starting versus Canucks Knight will guard the home goal versus the Canucks on Friday, Tracey Myers of NHL.com reports.
Impact Knight will get the net Friday after Arvid Soderblom was between the pipes for Wednesday's 8-3 win over the Blues. For the season, Knight has gone 1-2-0 while allowing seven goals on 87 shots. He's been sharp, and he'll be up against a Canucks team in the second half of a back-to-back set.
