Cedric Paquette Tribute
Enjoying rare goal-scoring streak
Paquette scored a goal for the second straight game in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Lightning.
Not bad for a fourth-line guy skating less than 10 minutes per game -- just don't expect the hot streak to last. Paquette now has just six points (4G, 2A) in 30 games this season.
Necas scores twice as Hurricanes top Lightning 4-3
Martin Necas scored his second goal of the game to break a tie with 3:53 remaining, and the Carolina Hurricanes defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning 4-3 in a matchup between the top tw...

Geekie scores twice as Hurricanes pound Predators 5-1
Morgan Geekie scored his first two goals of the season and the Carolina Hurricanes used a rapid-fire scoring spree in the first period to defeat the Nashville Predators 5-1
Nabs helper Tuesday
Paquette produced an assist, three hits and two PIM in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Predators.
Paquette picked up his second assist in his last three outings. This shouldn't be mistaken for a scoring binge -- the 27-year-old has a modest three points in 10 outings since he joined the Hurricanes in a trade from the Senators. He's at four points, six PIM and 59 hits in 19 outings overall this year, mainly in a fourth-line role.
Rare assist in Saturday win
Paquette recorded an assist for his third point of the season in Saturday's 4-3 shootout win over the Panthers.
Currently skating on the Cane's fourth line and averaging about 10 minutes of ice time per game, Paquette does not currently boast a ton of fantasy value in most formats. He has never cracked the 20-point plateau in his career, and is unlikely to do so this season given his current scoring pace.

Oilers complete 2-game sweep of Senators with 4-2 win
Jesse Puljujarvi scored two goals and the Edmonton Oilers beat the Ottawa Senators 4-2 to complete a sweep of the teams’ two-game set
Notches first goal
Paquette scored a goal and dished out five hits in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to the Oilers.
Paquette's first goal as a Senator spoiled Mikko Koskinen's shutout bid in the second period. That tally was also Paquette's first point in nine contests. He's produced 27 hits and four PIM, but he carries a minus-8 rating, as the Senators get outscored with frequency in the offense-happy North Division. Paquette had 175 hits and 18 points in 61 games last season, but he'll have a tough time replicating that scoring rate in 2020-21.
Physical in return
Paquette (lower body) notched five hits in 12:20 in Wednesday's 5-1 loss to the Canucks.
Paquette missed one game with the injury, but he returned in his usual hard-hitting form. His five hits led the Senators. Through six outings, the fourth-liner has no points, a minus-6 rating, 19 hits and eight blocked shots.
Will return Wednesday
Paquette (lower body) will return to the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Canucks, Brent Wallace of TSN.ca reports.
Paquette missed Monday's loss to the Canucks, but he'll be back in action for Wednesday's rematch. The 27-year-old posted no points, 14 hits and a minus-5 rating over five games prior to his absence.
Expected to sit Monday
Paquette (lower body) isn't listed among Ottawa's lines for Monday's game in Vancouver, so he's expected to sit out the game due to his injury, Brent Wallace of TSN Ottawa reports.
Paquette sustained the injury Saturday against Winnipeg. His next chance to rejoin the lineup will come in Wednesday's rematch with the Canucks.
Exits Saturday's contest
Paquette will not return to Saturday's game versus the Jets due to a lower-body injury.
Paquette played only 5:31 in Saturday's game, with two hits and a minus-1 rating. It's unclear how he suffered the injury, but it was bad enough to rule him out after the second intermission. Look for an update on the 27-year-old's status prior to Monday's road game in Vancouver.
