Scores in shootout loss Grundstrom scored a goal on two shots and blocked two shots in Saturday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Hurricanes.

Impact Grundstrom has points in three straight games since he entered the lineup Tuesday. The 28-year-old has added four shots on net, nine hits, three blocked shots and a plus-3 rating over four appearances this season. He's provided a necessary spark for the Flyers' fourth line and looks to have a bit of runway to stay in the lineup over Nicolas Deslauriers.

Impact Grundstrom's first goal of the campaign came in his second game for the Flyers. He has added three hits, a blocked shot and a plus-1 rating. Impact Grundstrom is set to take on a depth role for the Flyers after Tyson Foerster (upper body) was ruled out for 2-3 months following an MRI on Tuesday. The 28-year-old Grundstrom has made just one NHL appearance this season, and he's posted 15 points in 19 AHL games with the Phantoms.

Impact Grundstrom was traded to the Flyers from the Sharks earlier Sunday, but he'll be left off Philadelphia's Opening Night roster. He made 56 regular-season appearances for San Jose last year and recorded three goals, six assists, 172 hits, 24 PIM and 18 blocked shots while averaging 9:36 of ice time. It wouldn't be surprising to see Grundstrom called up to serve as additional depth if the Flyers deal with injuries at some point.

Dealt to City of Brotherly Love Philadelphia acquired Grundstrom and Artem Guryev from San Jose on Sunday in exchange for Ryan Ellis (back) and a conditional 2026 sixth-round pick.

Impact Grundstrom registered three goals, six assists, 88 shots on net and 172 hits across 56 regular-season appearances with the Sharks in 2024-25. He will be in the mix for a bottom-six spot with the Flyers this campaign, but he could have trouble seeing regular playing time in the lineup.
