Impact Foote last played for Slovakian club Liptovsky Mikulas HK back in 2024-25, generating 30 points in 38 games. If the 26-year-old blueliner can put that type of offensive upside on display with the Wolves, he could earn himself a two-way contract for the team's NHL affiliate, St. Louis.

Eligible for NHL return in December The NHL announced Thursday that Foote will be eligible to resume game action on Dec. 1, Chris Johnston of The Athletic reports.

Impact Foote hasn't appeared in an NHL game since January of 2024, and he's an unrestricted free agent after the Devils didn't give him a qualifying offer ahead of the 2024-25 campaign.Foote was charged in connection with an alleged sexual assault but was acquitted of all charges in July. Per Johnston, contracts can be registered with the NHL on Oct. 15, and the players can begin conditioning with a team on Nov. 15 and appear in a game on Dec. 1. It's unclear whether Foote will land a contract with an NHL club once he's eligible to return to the ice.
