Expected back Saturday Horvat (lower body) is slated to play in Saturday's clash with Buffalo, Stefen Rosner of NHL.com reports.
Impact Horvat looks poised to return to his first-line center role in addition to linking up with the No. 1 power-play unit. Injuries have derailed Horvat's season, as he has featured in just four of the Isles' last 18 contests. When healthy, the veteran has produced at a fantastic rate, generating 21 goals and 12 assists in 36 contests, including 12 power-play points.

Rehabbing Bo Horvat set to stay in New York for rest of Islanders' road trip If this was the playoffs, he might be playing, but the Islanders have the luxury of caution right now and intend to use it.
JANUARY 17 • NYPOST.COM
Unlikely to join team on road trip The Islanders announced Friday that Horvat (lower body) is unlikely to join the team on its current road trip, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.
Impact The Islanders have three games remaining in their seven-game road trip, and while Horvat was initially expected to be with the team for the start of the trip, he's now been ruled out for the entire trip. However, the Islanders said that the 30-year-old hasn't experienced a setback in his recovery process, and he continues to skate at the team's facility. Horvat's next opportunity to suit up will be when the team returns home to face the Sabres on Jan. 24.

Not with team to begin road trip Horvat (lower body) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against Nashville since he isn't with the Islanders for the start of their seven-game road trip, Andrew Gross of Newsday...
Impact Horvat was initially expected to travel with the Islanders for their road trip, but general manager Mathieu Darche said Thursday that the team changed its mind and will give the 30-year-old some more time to rest. However, Darche said that he hopes that Horvat will be back in action before the Olympic break, and he could join the team later in the road trip.

Traveling with team Horvat (lower body) will join the Islanders for their upcoming seven-game road trip, Stefen Rosner of NHL.com reports Tuesday.
Impact Horvat won't be an option to face the Devils on Tuesday, but it certainly appears he is trending in the right direction. Once given the all-clear, the Ontario native should reclaim his spot as the second-line center in addition to linking up with one of the power-play units.
JANUARY 6 • ROTOWIRE
Set for one-week absence Horvat will miss at least a week due to his lower-body injury, Stefen Rosner of NHL.com reports Friday.
Impact Based on his timeline, Horvat will be out of action for at least the next four games, though it could still be longer. In four games since returning from a previous injury, the veteran center notched two goals on 11 shots, seven hits and five blocks. With Horvat sidelined, Jean-Gabriel Pageau will shift back to center and fill in on the second line.

Islanders' Bo Horvat to be evaluated after leaving his team's game because of injury

JANUARY 2 • Associated Press
Needs further evaluation Horvat will be evaluated Friday for an apparent lower-body injury sustained in Thursday's game versus the Mammoth, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.
Impact Horvat was hurt in the third period and struggled to get off the ice and limped down the tunnel. The Islanders didn't have a specific update, but more information should be available after he's evaluated more thoroughly. If Horvat can't play Saturday versus the Maple Leafs, Anthony Duclair or Marc Gatcomb will get back into the lineup, while Simon Holmstrom or Calum Ritchie could see a boost in ice time.

Pots power-play tally Horvat scored a power-play goal on three shots, added four PIM and logged three hits in Tuesday's 3-2 shootout win over the Blackhawks.
Impact Horvat scored in the first period and also had the lone tally in the shootout to secure the win. The 30-year-old center has scored in consecutive contests, and he has seven goals and an assist over his last 10 outings, a stretch interrupted by a five-game absence for a lower-body injury. For the season, he's up to 21 goals, 33 points (12 on the power play), 120 shots on net, 25 hits, 32 PIM and a plus-5 rating over 35 appearances. He's never had a 40-goal season in the NHL, but he is on pace to change that fact in 2025-26.
