Fills empty cage Svechnikov scored an empty-net goal on six shots and added four hits in Wednesday's 4-0 win over the Canadiens in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
Impact Svechnikov has scored in consecutive contests for the first time this postseason. The Hurricanes' well-balanced offense has meant that the team doesn't need to rely on its top-line players for the bulk of the scoring. Svechnikov is now at three goals, three assists, 42 shots, 50 hits, 20 PIM and a minus-1 rating over 12 playoff outings, with all of his points coming since the start of the second round.

Andrei Svechnikov scoring in OT could be a turning point for him and the Hurricanes

Andrei Svechnikov scoring in overtime to win Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Final for the Carolina Hurricanes at Montreal was just his second goal and fifth point of the playoffs

Wires home OT winner in Game 3 Svechnikov scored the overtime winner Monday during the Hurricanes' 3-2 victory over the Canadiens in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
Impact The 26-year-old winger snapped a puck through traffic that managed to get past Jakub Dobes with a little under six minutes left in the first OT period. It was Svechnikov's first goal of the series, and after being held off the scoresheet completely in the first round against the Senators, he's bounced back with two goals and five points in Carolina's last seven games. Svechnikov will look to build up some momentum in Game 4 on Wednesday.

Breaks through on power play Svechnikov scored a goal on three shots, dished an assist and added four hits in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Flyers in Game 3.
Impact Svechnikov's points both came on the power play. The winger was limited to a single assist over the first six games of the playoffs. He's now at three points, 23 shots on net, 30 hits, 16 PIM and an even plus-minus rating over seven postseason contests. Svechnikov has been more productive in previous playoff runs, totaling 23 goals and 48 points across 66 outings in his first six career trips to the postseason.

Back on top line Svechnikov (undisclosed) returned to the first line in practice Thursday, Ryan Henkel of The Hockey News reports.
Impact Svechnikov was back on the top unit after resting in Tuesday's regular-season finale against the Islanders. He had a career-high 31 goals and 70 points across 79 regular-season games, including 1'2 goals and 29 points on the power play.

Won't play Tuesday Svechnikov (undisclosed) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Islanders.
Impact Svechnikov will be unavailable for the third time in the Hurricanes' last four games of the regular season, but he's likely just having his workload managed ahead of the playoffs. The 26-year-old will presumably return to game action once the postseason begins.

Unavailable Monday Svechnikov is dealing with an undisclosed injury and will not be available versus the Flyers on Monday.
Impact Svechnikov has scored in six of his last seven outings, including four tallies with the man advantage. With several players getting the night off, Taylor Hall could be pressed into a first-line role and figures to log time with one of the two power-play units. Svechnikov almost certainly will be back for the playoffs, but he should be considered questionable versus the Islanders on Tuesday.

Sets career high in points Svechnikov tallied a power-play goal, fired five shots on net, served two PIM and dished out two hits in Saturday's 4-1 win over Utah.
Impact Svechnikov found the back of the net on a power play less than five minutes into regulation Saturday in his return to the lineup after getting a game of rest Thursday. The power-play goal helped him reach 70 points on the season, which surpassed his previous career high of 69 points across 78 regular-season games during the 2021-22 campaign. Svechnikov flipped a switch offensively in the new calendar year to help secure the 70-point campaign, as he has compiled 19 goals and 35 points over his last 32 games. He's currently on a seven-game point streak and holds strong fantasy value in all formats for the remainder of the fantasy playoffs.
