Robert Hagg - Back to AHL Hagg was sent down to AHL San Diego on Tuesday.

Impact Hagg served as an extra defenseman during the Ducks' recent road trip, but they'll be at home on both sides of the holiday break. The 28-year-old's reassignment could indicate that Jamie Drysdale (lower body) may be close to a return.

Michael Hutchinson - Signs one-year deal Hutchinson secured a one-year, two-way contract with Detroit on Tuesday.

Impact Hutchinson has been playing for AHL Grand Rapids on a minor-league-only deal but can now be added to the NHL roster. With the Griffins, the netminder is 5-7-1 with a .895 save percentage and 2.98 GAA in 13 contests. Following the injuries to Ville Husso (lower body) and Alex Lyon (upper body), the 33-year-old Hutchinson figures to serve as the No. 2 option behind James Reimer.

Ville Husso - Deemed week-to-week Husso (lower body) is considered to be week-to-week, per coach Derek Lalone.

Impact Husso was injured in the first period of Monday's 4-3 loss to Anaheim. He has posted a 9-5-2 record this season with a 3.53 GAA and an .893 save percentage in 18 appearances. Alex Lyon (upper body) is also listed as week-to-week, so the Red Wings signed Michael Hutchinson on Tuesday to serve as James Reimer's backup.

Austin Czarnik - Recalled from minors Czarnik was summoned from AHL Grand Rapids on Tuesday under emergency conditions.

Impact In a corresponding move, Klim Kostin (upper body) was placed on injured reserve. Czarnik has one assist and 12 shots on goal in 15 appearances this season with the Red Wings. He will probably occupy a spot on the fourth line against Winnipeg on Wednesday.

Impact In a corresponding move, Detroit recalled Austin Czarnik from AHL Grand Rapids under emergency conditions. Kostin, who was injured in Monday's 4-3 loss to Anaheim, will be out of action for at least the next three games following his move to the IR list. He has chipped in three points, 29 PIM, 19 shots on goal and 38 hits over 23 games this season.

Impact Vaakanainen has picked up two assists while playing in each of the last five games. With Tristan Luneau away at the World Junior Championship, Vaakanainen has a clear path to playing time into the new year. The 24-year-old Finn is up to six points (all assists) while adding 23 shots on net, 20 blocked shots and a plus-3 rating over 24 appearances this season. Now in his sixth campaign, he remains in search of his first NHL goal.
