Receiving starting nod Lyon will guard the home goal versus the Senators on Wednesday, Heather Engel of NHL.com reports.
Impact Lyon has opened the season 0-3-0 this season, but his play has been solid with just eight goals allowed on 99 shots over his three starts. He continues to occupy the starting role while the Sabres wait for Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen (lower body) to recover. Lyon should still see a decent share of starts when Luukkonen returns, assuming Lyon's performance doesn't dip.

Impact Lyon made his third straight start for the Sabres while Ukka-Pekka Luukkonen (lower body) remains unavailable. At this point, it wouldn't be a shock to see the team give Colten Ellis a look between the pipes even though there isn't a back-to-back on the short-term schedule. Still, until Luukkonen is cleared to return, Lyon should see the bulk of the workload.
