Expected to play Thursday Knight (ankle), who is listed as questionable for Thursday's game against the Jaguars, is in line to play, Connor Hughes of SNY.tv reports.
Impact Despite being listed as a full participant at Wednesday's practice, Knight still took a designation into the Week 16 contest. Fantasy managers who are planning on using Knight this week will still want to ensure that he's officially cleared when the Jets release their inactive list 90 minutes prior to the 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff. Knight has taken hold of the lead role out of the New York backfield, but after three quality performances to kick off his NFL career, the undrafted rookie out of NC State stumbled in last week's loss to the Lions. He carried 13 times for just 23 yards against Detroit and failed to draw a target across his 28 snaps.

Gets questionable tag for Week 16 Knight (ankle) is listed as questionable for Thursday's game against the Jaguars after being listed as a full participant at Wednesday's practice, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
Impact Ethan B. Greenberg of the Jets' official site previously noted that Knight came out of the Jets' Week 15 loss to Detroit with the ankle issue, but he wasn't listed on the team's first two Week 16 injury reports. Per Cimini, Knight is trending toward playing versus Jacksonville, but the questionable designation nonetheless makes the running back's status worth confirming ahead of Thursday's 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff.

Not listed on injury report Knight (ankle) isn't listed on the Jets' injury report ahead of Thursday night's game against the Jaguars, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
Impact Ethan B. Greenberg of the Jets' official site previously relayed that Knight came out of Week 15 action with an ankle issue, but Knight didn't appear on the team's practice/injury report following Monday's walkthrough. Based on that, Knight is on track to suit up for Thursday's contest and thus in line to continue to lead New York's backfield Week 16, with Michael Carter mixing in.

Chance to play Thursday Knight (ankle) could play Thursday versus the Jaguars, Ethan B. Greenberg of the Jets' official site reports.
Impact Knight is dealing with an ankle injury sustained during Sunday's loss to the Lions, in which he carried the ball 13 times for 23 yards and wasn't targeted. The undrafted rookie may have to practice as at least a limited participant prior to Thursday's contest to have any chance of suiting up. If he does play but is still hampered by the ankle issue, Knight may end up splitting touches with Michael Carter.
DECEMBER 19, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Worst game as pro in Week 15 Knight rushed 13 times for 23 yards and wasn't targeted in Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Lions.
Impact Knight was the only Jets running back to record a rushing attempt in the first half, but he was bottled up by an improving Detroit front, mustering only 15 yards on eight carries. He split touches with Michael Carter in the second half as New York continued to struggle on the ground. Knight's fresh legs gave him an edge over tired defenders when he first joined the Jets in Week 12, but perhaps the undrafted rookie out of NC State is starting to wear down himself as the Jets prepare to host the Jaguars on Thursday.

In win over Jets, Bills prove they're getting into Super Bowl shape

It wasn't pretty Sunday vs. the Jets, but the Bills showed they can win ugly and are now in the driver's seat for the No. 1 seed in the AFC.

In win over Jets, Bills prove they're getting into Super Bowl shape
Leads backfield in Carter's return Knight rushed 17 times for 71 yards and a touchdown while catching both of his targets for six yards in Sunday's 20-12 loss to the Bills.
Impact Knight was bottled up in the first half but finally broke free for a 13-yard touchdown run on the first possession after halftime, shaking off tackles to tie the score at seven. He finished with 19 touches to eight for Michael Carter, who mustered only 20 scrimmage yards and lost a crucial fumble in his return from an ankle injury. Knight has 298 scrimmage yards through his first three NFL games and should maintain the lead role in Week 15 against the generous Lions run defense.

Expected to maintain key role With Michael Carter (ankle) back from a one-game absence and James Robinson inactive, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com relays that the Jets will roll with a Week 14 backfield of Knight, Car...
Impact Though Cimini notes that Carter is in line to see his share of touches in his return and Johnson is a candidate to see third-down work, he suggests that Knight could claim a larger share of the carries Sunday, on the heels of two straight strong efforts filling in for Carter. In such a context, Knight should continue to offer a degree of week 14 fantasy utility versus a Buffalo defense that has yielded an average of 101.8 rushing yards per game to date.

Set to remain part of RB rotation Head coach Robert Saleh said Wednesday that Knight will remain a part of the Jets' backfield rotation with Michael Carter (ankle) expected to return from a one-game absence this Su...
Impact The undrafted rookie out of NC State was added to the Jets' 53-man roster in late October but had been inactive for every game until he dressed ahead of James Robinson in Week 12. He was then thrust into action when Carter departed early in the Jets' eventual 31-10 win over the Bears, finishing with 14 carries for 69 yards to go with three catches fore 34 yards. While filling the lead role in last week's loss to the Vikings with Carter sitting out, Knight continued to excel, accounting for 118 yards from scrimmage on 20 touches. Saleh didn't specify how the work would be divided between Carter and Knight in Week 14, but the latter player's strong production over the past two games give him a good case for at least being part of a timeshare.

Tops 100 scrimmage yards again Knight rushed 15 times for 90 yards and caught all five of his targets for 28 yards in Sunday's 27-22 loss to the Vikings.
Impact Knight got the start at running back and finished with 20 touches while James Robinson and Ty Johnson combined for 11 with Michael Carter (ankle) unavailable. After being bottled up for most of the game, Knight ripped off a 48-yard run down the sideline in the fourth quarter, accounting for the majority of his rushing yards. Carter has a low ankle sprain, so a Week 14 return against Buffalo is possible for the shifty second-year back, but Knight's powerful running style should allow him to maintain a prominent role on early downs, as the undrafted rookie out of NC State has exceeded 100 scrimmage yards in each of his first two NFL appearances.
DECEMBER 4, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Increased workload on tap Knight could again play a large role out of the Jets backfield Sunday at Minnesota with Michael Carter (ankle) listed as doubtful for that contest, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
Impact Carter departed the Jets' Week 12 win against the Bears early with what eventually was termed a low-ankle sprain, giving Knight and Ty Johnson elevated opportunities to produce. And both players did just that, as Knight turned a 48 percent snap share into 17 touches for 103 yards from scrimmage while Johnson had six touches for 78 total yards and a rushing TD on 24 percent of plays. Considering the Vikings boast the 14th-ranked run defense at 114.6 yards per game, both Knight and Johnson should have at least another week of useful performances as long as Carter is sidelined.

Jets' Rookie Helps to Revive Run Game With Historic Debut Zonovan Knight played a key role against the Bears on Sunday, racking up more than 100 yards from scrimmage in the win
NOVEMBER 28, 2022 • NEWSOBSERVER.COM
Tops 100 scrimmage yards in debut Knight rushed 14 times for 69 yards and caught all three of his targets for 34 yards in Sunday's 31-10 win over the Broncos,
Impact Signed from the practice squad Friday, Knight looked spry in his NFL debut. Coach Robert Saleh praised the undrafted rookie's hard running style, which was the reason he was used over James Robinson (coach's decision), per Zack Rosenblatt of the Athletic. Michael Carter sprained his ankle in the second half, leaving White and Ty Johnson -- who had 78 scrimmage yards and a touchdown on only six touches -- as the respective power and finesse options in the Jets' backfield. Both unheralded running backs will generate interest on the waiver wire as the likely top two options in New York's backfield in Week 13 against the Vikings, unless Robinson works his way back into the rotation.
NOVEMBER 27, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Joins 53-man roster Knight was signed to the Jets' active roster from their practice squad, Ethan Greenberg of the team's official site reports.
Impact Knight joined the Jets as an UDFA out of NC State, and he did initially make the 53-man roster after impressing in camp, but he was ultimately waived and signed to the practice squad in early September. With Breece Hall (knee) out for the season, and recent acquisition James Robinson's debut date unknown due to knee soreness, Knight will be able to provide depth at running back for the team moving forward.
