INJURIES

Limited yet again Moss (toe) was listed as a limited participant for Thursday's practice.
Impact Moss was limited all of last week before being surprisingly ruled out for Sunday's game in Las Vegas, so we'd like to see him practice fully or at least get an encouraging outlook from the coaching staff before we feel comfortable about his status for Sunday's game in Tennessee, a contest that -- like Moss's status -- is up in the air due to the Titans' current COVID-19 issues.

OCTOBER 8, 2020 • SPORTINGNEWS.COM
Limited again to start week Moss (toe) practiced on a limited basis Wednesday, Chris Brown of the Bills' official site reports.
Impact Moss was limited in practice all of last week and ultimately missed a second consecutive game, allowing Devin Singletary to dominate the running-back touches in Sunday's win over the Raiders. Given Moss's absence last week, he would ideally progress to a full practice by Friday to help assure his status for this weekend's game in Tennessee.

OCTOBER 4, 2020 • BUFFALOBILLS.COM
Inactive for Week 4 Moss (toe) will not play in Sunday's game in Las Vegas.
Impact This is a bit of a surprise after the rookie was able to practice on a limited basis all week. The backfield will belong to Devin Singletary for another week.
OCTOBER 4, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Status in question for Week 4 Moss (toe), who was a limited practice participant Friday, is listed as questionable for Sunday's game in Las Vegas.
Impact Moss didn't practice at all before being ruled out for Week 3, the result of a toe injury. This week, he was able to maintain limited showings Wednesday through Friday, putting himself in a position to return to action. Unfortunately for fantasy managers, the Bills don't kick off until 4:25 p.m. ET on Sunday, leaving them few replacement options if in fact the team rules him out. Another absence from Moss likely will result in significant work for Devin Singletary for a second consecutive game.

Injury Report | Zack Moss listed as questionable | Week 4 One player has been ruled out and two players are listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Raiders.
OCTOBER 2, 2020 • BUFFALOBILLS.COM
Limited again Moss (toe) practiced on a limited basis Thursday for the second straight day.
Impact It appears the rookie isn't fully out of the woods yet, while his participation level Friday should be more telling toward his status for Sunday's game in Las Vegas. If Moss suits up, he'll continue to work as the 1B to Devin Singletary.
OCTOBER 1, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Limited on practice report Moss (toe) was listed as limited on Wednesday's official injury report.
Impact Reports earlier in the day from the media-access portion of Wednesday's practice suggested the rookie was decently involved in the session, so he seemingly has a good chance to return from a one-game absence to play Sunday in Las Vegas. The rookie running back will still likely need to increase his activity Thursday and/or Friday to avoid an injury designation heading into the weekend.
SEPTEMBER 30, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Back at practice Moss who missed last week's game against the Rams due to a toe injury, is initially listed as a full practice participant Wednesday, Maddy Glab of the Bills' official site reports.
Impact Starting the new week at a full(ish) level obviously puts Moss's status for this week's game in Las Vegas in the likely category, though we'll get more details as the week progresses. The promising rookie caught a TD pass in his debut game, but otherwise has been bottled up as a rusher with a 17-48-0 line.

SEPTEMBER 25, 2020 • BUFFALORUMBLINGS.COM
Ruled out Week 3 Coach Sean McDermott said Moss (toe) was ruled out for Sunday's game against the Rams, Chris Brown of the Bills' official site reports.
Impact The rookie third-rounder was unable to practice Wednesday and Thursday, and it appears his outlook hasn't improved much entering Friday's session. Moss carried 17 times for 48 yards and caught three passes for 16 yards and one touchdown in the first two games of the season, but he won't be available for Week 3. Devin Singletary played just under 60 percent of the offensive snaps the past two weeks and likely to have an even larger snap share versus the Rams.
SEPTEMBER 25, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Not practicing again Moss (toe) isn't on the field for Thursday's practice, Chris Brown of the Bills' official site reports.
Impact He'll go down as a non-participant for the second day in a row, leaving his status uncertain for Sunday's game against the Rams. Before determining whether he'll carry a designation into the Week 3 contest, the Bills will see what Moss can do during their final practice session Friday. If Moss ends up missing the first game of his career, starting running back Devin Singletary -- who hasn't played more than 60 percent of the offensive snaps in either of the Bills' first two contests -- would likely be headed for a bigger workload.
SEPTEMBER 24, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Misses Wednesday's practice Moss didn't practice Wednesday due to a toe injury.
Impact Keep an eye on Moss's practice participation as the week unfolds, as he'll likely need to graduate to at least limited activity by Friday to have a shot at avoiding an injury designation heading into Sunday. If Moss is limited or out Week 3 against the Rams, Devin Singletary would be in line for an increased share of the backfield reps.
SEPTEMBER 23, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Modest numbers in win Moss rushed eight times for 37 yards and wasn't targeted in the passing game in the Bills' 31-28 win over the Dolphins on Sunday.
Impact With the contest turning out to be very competitive courtesy of a see-saw fourth quarter, the Bills tilted more toward the passing game than usual with considerable success. In turn, that left Moss and backfield mate Devin Singletary with a relatively modest workload, and the former trailed the latter by two rushing touches by afternoon's end. Moss disappointingly was a complete non-factor through the air as well after seeing four targets in his Week 1 pro debut, leaving fantasy managers to hope for more well-rounded production in a Week 3 interconference home tilt against the Rams next Sunday.

Catches TD in debut Moss rushed nine times for 11 yards and caught three of four targets for 16 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 27-17 win over the Jets.
Impact Moss split the rushing work evenly with Devin Singletary (nine carries for 30 yards), but it was quarterback Josh Allen who paced Buffalo's ground game with 14 carries for 57 yards and a touchdown. Allen's power-running style will likely rob Moss of some short touchdowns, but the rookie was on the field when the Bills got in close and caught a four-yard touchdown in the second quarter. Neither running back was able to separate himself in this one, so expect Moss and Singletary to see a near-even split in touches against the Dolphins in Week 2.

Looking good for goal-line work It isn't clear how the Bills will split playing time between Moss and Devin Singletary, but it does seem that Moss is more likely to get goal-line touches, according to Joe Buscagl...
Impact The report kind of hints at a traditional thunder/lightning backfield split, though Singletary wins with agility and vision more so than speed, while Moss is surprisingly nimble in the passing game for a 5-foot-9, 223-pound running back. In other words, both players appear reasonably versatile, which makes it tougher to get a read on the exact nature of their respective roles. It still isn't clear if Singletary's lead role from late last season will carry over to Week 1 against the Jets, as it's also possible Moss forces something closer to a 50/50 split right out of the gate. The Buffalo backfield will be one of the major fantasy storylines for the opening week of the season.

Resumes contact work Moss (neck) isn't wearing a no-contact jersey Tuesday, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.
Impact It appears the rookie's neck injury was minor, as he's been cleared for contact work after only a few days of being limited. Devin Singletary remains the favorite to start in the backfield Week 1 against the Jets, but Moss also figures to have a significant role in the Buffalo offense.
SEPTEMBER 1, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Neck injury surfaces Moss was listed as a non-contact participant Sunday due to a neck issue, Sal Capaccio of WGR Sports Radio 550 Buffalo reports.
Impact Moss's injury at first glance appears more minor than some of the other injured Bills, as they were all listed as missing practice while Moss was the only non-contact participant. We'll see if he can shake that label in the coming days as he continues to work toward a chunk of playing time to open the season in tandem with Devin Singletary.
