Chase McLaughlin - Six points in Week 6 loss McLaughlin made field-goal attempts from 33 and 36 yards and did not attempt any extra points in the Buccaneers' 20-6 loss to the Lions on Sunday.

Impact The Buccaneers offense offered McLaughlin scant opportunities to put points on the board, but he made good on the two chances he did see. Both of the veteran kicker's made field goals were close calls to varying degree, and McLaughlin now boasts a 90.0 percent success rate on his 10 field-goal attempts and has made all seven point-after tries heading into a Week 7 home divisional clash against the Falcons.

Cade Otton - Held to one catch in loss Otton brought in one of two targets for 15 yards in the Buccaneers' 20-6 loss to the Lions on Sunday.

Impact Otton's catch and target totals tied for season lows, while his yardage total marked his third straight under the 20-yard mark. The second-year tight end appears to have a lesser role in coordinator Dave Canales' offensive scheme compared to that of predecessor Byron Leftwich's, but Otton has at least logged over 50 snaps in four of his first five games, including three tallies over 60.

Trey Palmer - Career-high yardage total in loss Palmer brought in two of seven targets for 47 yards in the Buccaneers' 20-6 loss to the Lions on Sunday.

Impact The rookie finished tied for second in targets and third in receiving yards with figures that were both career highs. Palmer was also narrowly missed by Baker Mayfield on another deep throw, and with a total of 85 snaps from scrimmage in the last two games, the fleet-footed wideout appears to have carved out a steady role in an offense that needs pass-catching playmakers behind starters Mike Evans and Chris Godwin.

Jahmyr Gibbs - Trending in right direction Coach Dan Campbell said Monday that Gibbs (hamstring) is trending toward playing Sunday against the Ravens, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports.

Impact Gibbs has missed the last two games with a hamstring injury that he sustained in practice ahead of Week 5. With David Montgomery (ribs) now appearing as if he'll sit out at least one game, the Lions might need to lean even more on Gibbs, though Craig Reynolds and Devine Ozigbo also remain in the backfield mix for Detroit.

Baker Mayfield - Dealing with hand contusion Coach Todd Bowles said Mayfield was diagnosed with a left (non-throwing) hand contusion following Sunday's loss to the Lions, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site reports.

Impact X-rays were negative on Mayfield's hand. He appeared to injure it on the final drive, when his hand was pinned between his chest and the helmet of a Lions defender following a throw. Mayfield might miss some practice reps this week but should otherwise be fine for Week 7 against the Falcons on Sunday.
