Colt McCoy - Hoping for Week 17 returnCoach Kliff Kingsbury said Monday that the Cardinals are hoping McCoy gets cleared through the concussion protocols and is able to start Sunday's game in Atlanta, Bo Brack of GoPHN...
ImpactAfter Kyler Murray tore his ACL in Week 14, McCoy assumed quarterback duties for the Cardinals, but he departed Week 15's game at Denver with a concussion and was inactive this past Sunday against the Buccaneers. McCoy showed some progress late last week by practicing in a limited fashion Friday, so the next step will be maintaining or increasing his activity level once Arizona gets back on the field Wednesday. If he makes his way through the protocols ahead of Sunday's 1:00 p.m. kickoff, McCoy will push Trace McSorley back to a reserve role.

Aaron Brewer - Headed to IRThe Cardinals placed Brewer (pectoral) on injured reserve Monday, Darren Urban of the team's official site reports.
ImpactBrewer is dealing with a pectoral injury that will now bring his 2022 campaign to an early end, as he'll now have to sit out the final two weeks of the regular season on IR. In his stead, it's likely Arizona will turn to Sean Harlow, who previously filled in when Brewer was on IR with a broken arm, to handle the team's long-snapping duties moving forward.

Aaron Brewer - Dealing with pectoral injuryCoach Kliff Kingsbury said Monday that Brewer was dealing with an injury to his right pectoral after Sunday's game at Tampa Bay, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.
ImpactBrewer presumably sustained the injury in Sunday's loss versus Tampa Bay, and his status for Week 17 is now in jeopardy. Any time he potentially misses would mean Arizona would have to make do with less depth on the interior of its offensive line.

Marco Wilson - Dealing with stinger, should be okHead coach Kliff Kingbury said Monday that Wilson (stinger) is considered day-to-day, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.
ImpactAlthough Wilson departed Sunday's contest against Tampa Bay due to a stinger, he said after the game that he felt fine, per Weinfuss. The 23-year-old's activity levels in practice throughout the week should provide further clarification regarding his availability for Arizona's New Year's Day matchup versus Atlanta, but he's nonetheless anticipated to suit up in Week 17 and continue operating as one of the Cardinals' starting cornerbacks opposite of veteran Antonio Hamilton.

Budda Baker - Done for year with broken shoulderDespite having played every defensive snap in Sunday's 19-16 loss to the Buccaneers, Baker suffered a fractured shoulder and has been ruled out for the final two games of the regul...
ImpactBaker, Arizona's Pro Bowl safety and team captain, sustained a fractured shoulder at some point during the Week 16 matchup versus Tampa Bay and won't return for the rest of the campaign as a result. The 26-year-old now concludes his sixth year in the league with 111 tackles, two interceptions and seven passes defensed across 15 games played. Chris Banjo is now in line to fill Baker's vacated starting safety spot when the Cardinals square off against the Falcons on New Year's Day.
