Impact Badie earned a permanent spot on the roster with an excellent performance in the 26-7 Week 3 win over the Buccaneers, rushing nine times for 70 yards. That outing coupled with 16 rushing yards in Week 2 were enough to make Badie the team's leading rusher among running backs this season. He'll likely continue to work in a platoon with Javonte Williams and Jaleel McLaughlin in Week 4 against the Jets, and likely beyond.

Impact Badie had his first touch of Week 3 in the second quarter and another in the third, but he dominated Denver's backfield in the fourth, earning all seven carries among the team's running backs. Overall, he notched nine rushes for 70 yards, which was fueled by a game-high 43-yard run. Having said that, he (13 of 68 offensive plays) was behind Javonte Williams (35) and Jaleel McLaughlin (18) in terms of playing time, so it's difficult to know if Badie has staked a claim to a decent share of the Broncos' RB reps moving forward.

Impact Badie may get a chance to suit up Sunday against the Steelers, although his elevation does not guarantee it. Last Sunday against the Seahawks, Denver dressed three running backs with Blake Watson being a healthy scratch. However, due to Audric Estime (ankle) landing on injured reserve, it was expected Watson would make his NFL debut in Week 2. It's not clear yet if Badie's elevation is a sign of a change in plans or if the Broncos will roll with four active players in the backfield.
