Reverts to injured reserve Fumagalli (abdomen) reverted to Denver's injured reserve Sunday, per the league's official transactions report.

Impact The Broncos waived Fumagalli with an injury designation Saturday and he now reverts to IR after having gone unclaimed. Fumagalli appeared in 11 contests with Denver last season, and in that span he had six catches for 38 yards and one score.

Impact Fumagalli underwent a procedure Tuesday, but he was only expected to be sidelined for about a week. The Wisconsin product has had lingering abdomen issues, and he'll revert to the team's injured reserve should he go unclaimed off waivers.

Misses practice Monday Coach Vic Fangio said Monday that Fumagalli is dealing with an Abdomen issue, Kyle Newman of The Denver Post reports.

Impact It's unclear how Fumagalli suffered the injury, however, Fangio reiterated Monday that it's not expected to be serious. Fumagalli missed his entire rookie season in 2018 with a sports hernia, so this news is certainly concerning. The Wisconsin product will look to get healthy before battling Albert Okwuegbunam, Jake Butt and Nick Vannett for a depth tight end role in 2020.
