Practices in limited fashion
Coleman (hamstring) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice.
Impact
Coleman hasn't played since Week 5 due to a hamstring injury, but he looks to be trending in the right direction to return for Sunday's divisional matchup against the Bills. Over four appearances this season, Coleman has logged 21 carries and has drawn three targets.

Expected to return Sunday
Coleman (hamstring) is expected to return for Sunday's game against Buffalo, Ralph Vacchiano of SportsNet New York reports.
Impact
Coleman has missed the last three games due to a hamstring injury, but he's trending toward being active in Week 10. Across his first four appearances with the Jets, the 28-year-old has recorded 21 carries for 73 yards while hauling in two of three targets for 17 yards.

Ruled out for TNF
Coleman (hamstring) won't play Thursday night against the Colts.
Impact
With Coleman slated to miss his third straight game, Michael Carter is in line to continue to head the Jets' backfield in Week 9, with Ty Johnson slated to work in a change-of-pace role and La'Mical Perine on hand in reserve.

Listed as non-participant again
Coleman (hamstring) was listed as a non-participant on Tuesday's practice estimate, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
Impact
Coleman has missed the Jets' last two games and back-to-back 'DNP' listings suggest that he could be trending toward missing Thursday night's game against the Colts as well. If that's the case, Michael Carter would be in line to continue to head the team's backfield in Week 9, with Ty Johnson and La'Mical Perine, to a lesser extent, also in the mix.

Listed as non-participant
Coleman (hamstring) was listed as a non-participant on Monday's practice estimate, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
Impact
The Jets didn't hold a practice Monday due to the short week ahead of Thursday's game against the Colts, but Coleman likely wouldn't have been able to take the field. The 28-year-old has missed the last two contests with a hamstring issue and will likely have to practice in some capacity if he hopes to return against Indianapolis.

Jets WR Corey Davis likely out vs. Bengals with hip injury
New York Jets wide receiver Corey Davis is unlikely to play Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals because of a hip injury suffered in practice Thursday

Won't play Sunday
Coleman (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Bengals, Ethan B. Greenberg of the Jets' official site reports.
Impact
Coleman has been unable to practice this week after sitting out against the Patriots in Week 7, and he'll be sidelined for the second straight contest. Michael Carter should continue to work as New York's lead tailback, with Ty Johnson and La'Mical Perine serving as the No. 2 and 3 options, respectively.

Doesn't practice Wednesday
Coleman (hamstring) didn't practice Wednesday, Andy Vasquez of The Bergen Record reports.
Impact
Coleman was a late addition to the injury report ahead of the Jets' Week 7 matchup with the Patriots and was ultimately ruled out for the contest. Michael Carter and Ty Johnson have been operating as the primary running backs throughout the season, so even if Coleman can return to practice this week, he will likely play a small role against the Bengals on Sunday. The 28-year-old has totaled 23 touches for 90 yards across four contests during the 2021 campaign.

Not ready to go Sunday
Coleman (hamstring) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Patriots.
Impact
Coleman was a late addition to the Jets' Week 7 injury report after the hamstring injury limited his participation in Friday's practice. With Coleman not making enough progress leading up to the 1 p.m. ET kickoff to suit up, the Jets will roll with Michael Carter, Ty Johnson and La'Mical Perine as their active backs Sunday. Expect Carter and Johnson to dominate the snaps and touches out of the backfield.

Hurts hamstring late in week
Coleman is listed as questionable for Sunday's game in New England with a hamstring injury, Rich Cimini of ESPN reports.
Impact
Coleman didn't appear on the injury report until Friday, when he was limited in practice. The late addition to the report likely indicates that Coleman suffered the injury during practice, but the Jets apparently have some hope that he'll be ready to go for Sunday's game. Even if he avoids the inactive list, Coleman is unlikely to play a major role in the offensive game plan, as Michael Carter and Ty Johnson are both ahead of him on the depth chart at running back.

Three touches in Week 5 loss
Coleman rushed three times for 11 yards and failed to secure his lone target in Sunday's 27-20 loss to the Falcons.
Impact
Coleman ranked third behind Michael Carter (12) and Ty Johnson (four) in rushing attempts. More importantly, each of the other two running backs found the end zone while Coleman still is in search of his first touchdown with Gang Green heading into the team's Week 6 bye.

Almost scores winning TD
Coleman rushed four times for 14 yards and caught both of his targets for 17 yards in Sunday's 27-24 overtime win over Tennessee.
Impact
Coleman spent most of the game watching Michael Carter (13 carries for 38 yards and a touchdown) struggle to find room, but the Jets leaned on the veteran running back in overtime. He came one yard from ending it in overtime but was ruled out of bounds on his dive to the pylon. The Jets ultimately settled for a field goal but wound up winning anyway when Randy Bullock missed from 49 yards out on the Titans' next drive. Coleman's limited role will make him tough to trust in Week 5 despite an appetizing matchup against the Falcons across the pond.
