Impact After playing only 11 defensive snaps in his rookie season, Weaver joined Tennesse's normal linebacker rotation in 2022. He responded by showing an ability to get pressure on the quarterback while also helping out in coverage. Weaver should have the chance to take another step forward as he enters this third year as a pro in 2023.

Amani Hooker - Plagued by multiple injuries Hooker recorded 46 tackles, three passes defended and one interception across nine games in 2022.
Impact Hooker was limited to only nine games due to both shoulder and knee injuries, which held down his overall numbers. However, he continued to have a significant role when healthy, and he now has at least three passes defended in each of his last three seasons. Hooker is locked into a long-term deal with the Titans and should hold a key role in the secondary once again in 2023.

Roger McCreary - Inconsistent rookie season McCreary recorded 84 tackles, eight passes defended and one interception across 17 games in 2022.
Impact McCreary was selected in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft and was immediately a starting cornerback for the Titans. He closed the season well by racking up four passes defended across his last four games, but he also gave up seven touchdowns on the campaign. McCreary will look to become more consistent in his second year, but he should continue to have a significant role in the Tennessee secondary.

Jeffery Simmons - Remains disruptive force Simmons recorded 53 tackles, 7.5 sacks and seven passes defended across 15 games in 2022.
Impact Simmons fought through an ankle injury for most of the season, an issue that cost him two games. Nevertheless, he topped 50 tackles for the second consecutive campaign and has 16 sacks across his last 33 contests. Simmons is entering the final year of his rookie contract and is a candidate to receive an extension this offseason.

David Long Jr. - Injury-plagued campaign Long (hamstring) finished the 2022 season with 86 tackles, five passes defended and two interceptions across 12 games.
Impact Long remained a key contributor to Tennessee's defense when he was on the field, as he racked up at least eight tackles in seven of his 12 contests. However, he's now missed at least two games in all four of his seasons in the NFL, and he finished the 2022 campaign on injured reserve. Long will enter free agency after playing out the final season of his rookie contract, and he should draw significant interest in free agency.

Kevin Byard - Remains key contributor Byard finished the 2022 season with 108 tackles, four interceptions and an additional two defensed passes across 17 games.
Impact Byard remained a stalwart in the Titans' secondary this past season, and he has yet to miss a game in his seven-season career. He's topped 1,000 defensive snaps in six of those campaigns and has picked off at least four passes on five occasions. Byard will enter 2023 with two years remaining on his contract with the Titans and figures to remain a key contributor.

Justin Rigg - Lands new deal Rigg signed a reserve/future contract with the Titans on Thursday, John Glennon of SI.com reports.
Impact Rigg spent training camp with the Bengals after joining them as a UDFA in May. However, after being unable to make the team out of camp, he did find his way to the Steelers' practice squad. Ultimately, the 24-year-old was unable to maintain a spot with the team. He'll now work toward earning an opportunity with the Titans.

Racey McMath - Two catches in 2022 McMath recorded two receptions on eight targets for 40 yards across five games in 2022.
Impact McMath was sidelined with an undisclosed injury for nearly the entire season, though he managed to make his debut in Week 14. He made his biggest impact in a Week 17 matchup against Dallas, when he hauled in a deep pass for 39 yards. McMath will likely find himself on the roster bubble with the Titans during training camp heading into the 2023 campaign.

Chris Conley - Minimal production in 2022 Conley recorded four receptions on five targets for 46 yards across seven games during the 2022 season.
Impact Conley began the season with the Texans and also spent time with the Chiefs. However, the Titans signed him Oct. 25, and he bounced between the team's practice squad and active roster for the rest of the campaign. Conley will hit free agency this offseason and will likely battle for a roster spot as a depth receiver to begin 2023.

Julius Chestnut - Finds role late in rookie season Chestnut ended the 2022 season with nine rushing attempts for 12 yards. He added three receptions for 41 yards and 215 kick return yards.
Impact Chestnut joined the Titans as an undrafted free agent prior to the 2022 season. He was inactive for each of Tennessee's first 11 games but closed the season with an increased role as he suited up for the final six contests. While Derrick Henry will continue to dominate carries out of the backfield in 2023, Chestnut could be a valuable special teams contributor, as he chipped in at least 40 kick return yards in three of the last five games to close 2022.

Austin Hooper - Four catches in Week 18 Hooper recorded four catches on four targets for 38 yards in Saturday's 20-16 loss to the Jaguars.
Impact Hooper tied for the third-most targets on the team and was relatively efficient with his opportunities, finishing with his highest catch and yardage totals since Week 14. While his numbers rebounded compared to his 2021 campaign with the Browns, Hooper was still in a timeshare with other tight ends on the Tennessee roster, including Chigoziem Okonkwo and Geoff Swaim. Hooper will hit free agency this offseason, and even if he returns to Tennessee, Okonkwo will likely step into a more significant role in 2023 to Hooper's detriment.
